Twas the night before huddle Christmas

And all through the place

Every huddler was wondering

Were boos undies of lace?

The jock straps were hung

By the chimney up high

The smell was of that

Of a skunk that had died

......... Pease finish

when out in the tinderbox there rose such a clatter

cookinwithgas was in a bitchfest with the mad hatter

and into the lounge did I peer with such grief

to find boo hadn't posted new pics of her feet

In college football forum mister husker does sleep

While through his head visions of laetitia do creep

In the panthers forum the fans are reviewing the tapes

While panthro and scrum discuss strawberry crepes

And I in my Panther cap when what should appear

But pictures of Boo's boobies so sweet and so dear

And then Life is a Garden brings us all sammiches

While we drink our beers on the couch, scratching our britches

Then on towards the tunnel soon Foxy was running

For on a tropical island soon he will be sunning

But fear not Panthers fans for soon we'll be star struck

As our Number one pick surely will be Andrew Luck

When what to my huddling eyes should appear

but The Saltman with pics of a shiny red rear

the sugarplum shape and the rosey red cheeks

couldn't drown out the busy troll speak

fug Clausen, fug Smitty,

fug your number 1 pick

Go Saints, Go Falcons, oh it made me so sick.

I woke up to cluttering noise deep in the dark,

To see Dockery show up with a butt plug with a red mark,

I'll tell you one thing I wasn't surprised to see,

Dpantherman was the man shouting with glee,

His head was stuck so far up dockery's ass,

But I just went about my business and knew this gay Christmas dream too shall pass.

    • I am no football savant as has been demonstrated here over and over, but I saw it.  I went for years doing the mock draft thing and researching the players that we might get around our pick, time consuming stuff. And we would get to the draft and trade the pick. All that time, wasted.  So I quit doing that. Also realized I was not a scout and would never be a scout and went to looking the videos and reports After  we picked a guy.  Maybe I would look at the 1st round, but quit that too and just looked after we picked.    When they did that trade I saw Bryce and his size and just ruled him out. Then it got to yeah they are probably going to take him, I relented and looked at some video and got to his pro day. It took me all of a few minutes to see the issues. The footwork. The arm. And the tape of games? The backyard style. I knew, what can I say?  (Also, went down the physical checklist, not a single plus attribute on the NFL level. Arm, speed, size, etc, nothing to offset the negatives. nothing)  I think it was easy for me because I had not watched a single game he played in college, and wasn’t drawn in by the hype. Had no preconceived notions and just looked at it pretty clinically.  I got in here and everyone was going “but look at what he did in college! It is the SEC, if he can do it in the SEC he can do it in the NFL!” Couldn’t reason with hardly anyone.  I don’t think I could tell you which guy would succeed between two prototypical guys with great arms and athleticism, and have no special insight into any of that. My one calling in football scouting was to see the real about what we were about to do. And you still don’t know for sure until they get in a real game in the NFL.
    • Miss Bryce sorely is possibly the most hilarious statement I have read on the Huddle in quite some time.
    • He did only throw 1 pass 20+ in that game. I think he is still struggling to adjust to the NFL. At Alabama he was able to extend plays and play backyard football. That's not only not the style of offense we have been running but his physical skills don't lend themselves to that style of play at this level.  So, the amount of issues he actually has to clean up are WAAAAAY more than I anticipated as a guy that had Bryce #1 on my board in that draft class.  I am just not seeing a reasonable path for him to clean it all up and develop in a reasonable timeframe
