3rd down blitz beater.... lmfao.... good one

Shock horror, those were his check down passes :o

They were also short of the first down marker :o

So it seems that checking down under pressure is better than getting creamed waiting for the bigger play, or so the experts say... Seems to differ with what some say around here...?

Those crossing routes were not check downs, those were the primary routes on that play and nobody was close enough to either of those guys to stop them before they got a 1st down.

Great segment. It really does boil down to if Clausen is the leader, is he at the facility all the time digesting tape and practicing his butt off. If not then Luck is the guy going into next year if we draft him.

Jimmy has always been that guy....honestly I think Jimmy is an overachiever. He got this far by hard work when he really doesn't have the ability/physical attributes of most at this level.

No one on the team imo likely studied or tried a hard as Jake in 2009.

yup exactly. Clausen can still end up being a good QB, but if he hasn't shown you what you need from a franchise QB, light a fire under him and bring in someone who you think will. At worst, Clausen fizzles out under pressure and we see what Luck has. At best, we've got an awesome situation where Luck gets to sit as Clausen shows great improvement and maybe ends up as trade bait..

Clausen clearly benefited from working in a system that really showcased his skill set in college while throwing to some of the better receivers in college. However, he does have most of the measurables at a level that is good enough for the NFL... its the intangibles that are a question mark with him, and always have been.

I don't know..... he is small, small hands, low release, not a great arm, not very mobile. He really doesn't fit the NFL mold of a QB. I just think he works hard and has been groomed to be a NFL QB his entire life.

Godfrey's okay, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next coach moves him to play nickel corner, the guy just can't tackle. Plus, I really think Jordan Pugh is too good to keep off the field.

Godfrey Brings the Lumber all the time. He delivers huge blows. He takes poor angles, but the guy will come up and stick you. So will Martin too. And they both have decent range. Godfrey is late coming over the top sometimes, and as I stated his angles can be awful, but he'll hit.

You are sadly mistaken.
