for me when Clausen under threw Gettis by 8 yards and 5 yards to the left on th defensive holding penalty...That should have been a touch down. If we get Gettis a qb he will be the next big thing in Carolina. Same goes for Lafell. That throw was pathetic.

How about taken a sack on 4th and 3 or the countless balls being knock down by Dlinemen.

Heard Eugene Robinson on the radio today talking about a bad pass Clausen threw. He said if it had been a better pass, it probably would have been picked off.

And so, in a resigned voice, he said "I guess we should be thankful for a bad pass."

To me, that pretty well summed up our season :(

Im still divided on the issues. There are alot of different factors Clausen has had to overcome, and not all quarterbacks have good seasons (Bradford has been an exception this year) their rookie year.

But yes Clausen has thrown some of the crappiest passes Ive seen since my brothers high school football game. His looks are horrible and stares down receiver like people stare down Cletus Delroy Spuckler in a Von Maur. Not to mention Clausen isn't a very tall guy.

I agree completely. I think both LaFell and Gettis have a lot of potential here.

That being said, both of them dropped balls they should have come down with. It's not entirely on Clausen.

Dropping a pass happens from time to time but consistently being unable to put the ball on target and running backwards when faced with pressure is not something you wanna see.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
