I don't think we'll be able to find a partner to trade down. It's a good idea to trade down now that Luck is gone, but I just don't see it. I'll be glad if it happens though.

The Skins need a QB and most lilkely would want the #1 pick if Cam Newton lights it up tonight. We could get the #9 pick, the #40 in the second, and possibly a later round or player in the trade. Thoughts ?

I read some where if we trade down to let just say 5 for example in the 2011 draft and their is a lock out then we also have to draft at that same spot in the 2012 draft if this is true I see no way the panthers trade down if they think their is any chance of a lock out! Could it be that the lockout situation dictates who we will draft this year? If anyone knows anything about this please let me know!

Trading down wouldn't be a bad option

if the Panthers pick up 3 picks for it... 1st,2nd and a 3rd or 4th.

You could pick up a DT or CB in the first (QB if there is one the Panthers like there)

OT or OG in the 2nd

KR/WR or so in the 3rd or 4th

Catnip I agree with your thoughts, and the initial poster. I posted some of the same stuff earlier and got blasted for it by one guy. We need more than one player now that Luck wont come out. WR, DT, OL.......

Likely scenario.

Getting 2 players is far more realistic than hoping for 3 or more players in the first 3 rounds in a trade down.

If we could get a lower first round and a second round pick, plus anything else in the 3rd or 4th I'd take it.

We need PLAYERS. Depth at every position. Plus when we go to 18 games, we'll need that depth even more.
