I wonder how hard Bill Polian is laughing?

9 straight years in the playoffs. That's only happened, umm one other time with the 70's Cowboys.

2 Super Bowls. 1 win and 1 loss. New stadium. Multiple Pro Bowlers and a few Hall of Famers all drafted by Polian.

It's a shame Bill refused to eat more Bojangles.

Polian and Goodell were getting a pretty good chuckle at the opening NFL Owner-GM meeting this year when Richardson was at the podium for a good 20 minutes blabbering and cursing about pretty much nothing. Basically, JR was a key note speaker at the conference...it was quite the spectacle.

Roger told Polian during it: If I interject, it would probably be too embarrassing

He is not laughing. He is thankful Peyton Manning stayed in school another year so they could draft him, because if that had not happened, that playoff success at Indy doesn't happen. Sometimes, its about luck, sometimes its about skill, and sometimes its a combination of the two.

deac, fwiw(couldn't resist) he could have as easily taken Leaf. He rolled the dice and did well. But that wasn't his only move.

Just look at his wikipedia profile. Chock full of great moves.

JR letting him go was easily the dumbest move he ever made.

But alas. We love us some mediocrity here so I will mosey on.

9 years is like 2 totally different football teams.

But there was one constant: Franchise QB Peyton Manning.

We were so close this year to having an opportunity.............
