Peyton Manning hate justified: Peyton tells Luck to go back to school.

As if I already didn't hate him enough.

Oliver Luck, Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck's father, revealed to KTAR on Friday who helped his son make the decision to return to school for another year.

"He got advice not just from his old man or his mom but from people like Peyton Manning, Eli and others who've gone through it," he said. "That information and that advice of course is invaluable."

Oliver also explained that he and Archie Manning, Peyton's father, were teammates on the Houston Oilers.

"Peyton kind of acted like a mentor to Andrew," Luck's father said.

Manning was said to have told Luck about his experience in 1997 when he returned to Tennessee for his senior year.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
