Perhaps I'm naive, but Gantt can go to hell

lol at you if you think that bradshaw and long are journalists.

Call 'em what you want, but they have the jobs, the dough, and the respect of those in the industry. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck [you know the rest].

Thing is, there have been many sports journalists throughout history who have shown their true colors when it mattered most, and most of them were the local guys (not ex-players).

Gantt may be objective in some ways but he has his own agenda, just like anyone else.

There are stories to write about the Panthers, win or lose. I honestly am not sure that he is a fan of the team, but he is of some of the players (one in particular, lol). Tweets a few weeks ago I thought said he was not much of a fan of the team itself but he was of the sport as a whole. Maybe I misunderstood.

I'm still amazed that Gantt is being called objective by people on this board.. amazing how things change in the course of a few weeks/months..

When the FO opens a press conference by calling you out on TV, I think it shatters any belief that you are somehow their pawn.

...Unless it's an elaborate conspiracy theory! I know just who to call!

apparently so..

point is it's great to see how much people think they know about everything that goes on. ;)

I love watching baseball for this reason. The announcers are often former players, and they seem like they give a damn. Maybe yelling a little bit louder when the home team hits a long ball. Not so homer that it's obvious, but enough to make you know which teams broadcast you're watching. Here in the Bay Area I watch Ray Fosse and Glenn Kuiper do A's games and they rock.
