This years draft media darling is Cam Newton

.The media seems split on how well he will do in the NFL as do the fans.Like him or hate him he is going to get alot of attention between now and the draft.

Newton is an incredible raw talent, I keep day dreaming about what it would be like IF he could develop into a legit NFL QB... but I'm not sure I want to sit through that development process and I'm not ready to give up on Clausen.

if he got thrown in jimmy c's position he might not have been a world beater but his confidence wouldn't have diminished... if you got all the confidence in the world, desire, mixed in with his skill, c'mon son...

It will be interesting to see how the media will spin him by the time the draft comes around.I just saw an interview and he has good swagger.He has the perfect size and a strong arm but that does not mean he will be a success in the pros.I feel under the right system,time to develope,and a good qb coach he can be a good NFL qb.I think he has a shot as the first qb taken based on his raw talent by the time draft day comes.

Now that the NFL season is over, sports shows need some NFL news to talk to about, Cam may be the easiest topic b/c so many people are divided on his abilities... it will stay Cam unless someone else becomes more controversial

agreed and the fact that he has been working his butt off since declaring helps. It seems his father hurts him in some ways but lets face it. A lot of us have parents that can be overbearing.

I really think he will shock people at his pro day and the combine. If people dont think we will give him a look and consider picking him first there delusional.

Really his wonderlic should be high also because he seemed to learn 3 offenses very well while in college.

If he has then that should be a testament to how smart he is. Pro days are controlled but if they hope for him to be drafted in the first round they will have to prove he can take snaps out of center. Thats for sure.
