I hate to say it but it looks like Clausen is going to be the QB,

Anyone heard anything about DeAngelo Williams staying or leaving? I think he's gone.

Free Agency hasn't started yet and they haven't used any tags yet so we don't know what's going to happen at this point.

Here we go again... when all else fails, pull out and play the "media gives the Panthers no respect" card. Ever stop to think there's a reason the media gives the Panthers no respect?

How about an owner who doesn't do interviews and when he did say something it was always a smartass answer usually delivered with a hint of contempt and sarcasm.

How about a coach who did do interviews but said nothing after talking for minutes on end. "A punt can be a good play," "it is what it is," and how many more can you stomach?

How about an entire organization that does not encourage any type of relationship with the media in general and seemingly gets very annoyed with players who say anything in the press?

One of the worst media jobs any journalist could catch would be a beat writer for the Panthers... The Panthers do nothing for the media, why should the media embrace and show nothing but love and respect?

Cause the NFL doesn't report and follow the media..the media follows and reports them.

Well they are right, they have plenty of ammo, and JR has a lot to prove. If you think he doesn't then well you must love what he has done thus far and are obviously to blind to see him as anything other than someone hurting the team. aside from jr the panthers have the talented guys but are far away from having chemistry, playing as a team which will hopefully come along. The next 4 years are going to say lot.

Steve Reed...its you!

This basically make the Panthers a forgotten team in the national spotlight. There is some good that there is not a huge circus clown media ***** who runs the team..but it creates a lot of apathy for the fans even in the Carolinas.

FA has not started....the draft has not happened....no trades have been made. Yet, it looks to YOU that Clausen will be the starter.

Please turn in your Dude Card at the door....you are hereby banished from serious football discussions.

Sportscaster logic tends to say "the team that had a bad season last year will have a bad season again this year".

Most of them really do have that little imagination :nonod:

don't have much reason to believe differently until we actually win games.

until we start winning games and have a respectable QB, expect to hear the same things. i'm not really all tha confident we can get up to a .500 record and think we'll still probably end up in the top 5 picks again next year.

long term should be better, but if we try to get stop gap QBs and hope that one of the QBs we have on the roster can actually develop into something good, i would expect us to have no more than 9 wins in a season with little chance of getting in the playoffs for a long time.

QB is going to be key. if we can't get a franchise QB in here soon, we're going to be stuck in mediocre-ville for a long time.
