Florio is shocked that money isn't a factor in who we take with the first pick!

*GASP*

BUt iV3 been saying RIchurdz is teH cheepz!

It's a non-factor because a rookie salary scale is more than likely going to be a condition of the new CBA. This above all prior drafts the rookies will demand less. Has nothing to do with the owner in this situation. JR IS cheap.

a center is easily replaceable... You can draft the best one in the draft in like the 2nd or 3rd round usually... (look where we got Kalil)...

CJ is a product of years of backup play and was able to stand out on a mediocre, at best, line... Some team may throw money at him, but his skillset is easily replaceable as well...

Some of you are too confident in Stewart being able to carry a full workload, and Goodson's hands... I actually would like to see more of Sutton than Goodson, but none of those three can do what DWill can do alone...

Kali is one of the best centers in the game, is young, can get even better, and is the best player on our line. We don't have a second round pick. So our hope of replacing all that, rests in a third round pick? That's assuming someone is even there that's worth it. Not to mention it will hamper filling the holes we have right now.

Tagging Johnson is hoping he will continue to play like this year. But if we can;t sign him, he is worth it. He had the third most sacks for DE. And led all DE's with QB disruptions and defensive stops. He also exceled (as he always had) in run defence. He managed to do all this with no consistent help from the rest of the D-line. He is far being easily replaceable.

While I agree Williams is proably the better all around RB, and would be the cheapest, the fact reamains that we easily have much better replacement for him then Johnson and Kali. And DE and Center is more vital then a RB. expecially given our cirumstances.

How old are running backs when they are considered to be "too old to play" ??

as a rule of thumb, 30 is the beginning of the end. DeWill is 27 and Stewart is 23. of course some might go to 31 or 32, depends on the player and how much he as played and how many carries he had over his career.

Gilbert was paid huge money.

Some say we overpaid for Lucas, and Kemo..

At the time we signed Wharton to his current contract, it was the biggest contract for a guard.

Peppers was offered the highest contract for a defensive player, not once, but twice.

This doesn't even mention Delhomme's last contract.

Pretty sure this proves Richardson isn't cheap.

Thanks for playing though.

williams is the cheapest but I kinda fear Charles Johnson might be the one player looking to get the mega payday that the panthers wont be willing to pay.

If they franchise CJ he will get a hell of a pay day the way it is calculated.I think they would structure a contract with him.

i just cant see a team paying a center LT money.

That's what its going to take to keep Kalil though, he's considered a top 5 center and based off the last two Center's to get Contracts that are top 5. I'd say it's going to take 5-7 years and 45-60 million with 25-30 of that guaranteed.

Expect to see something along the lines of what Nick Mangold or Jason Brown got.
