Top teams can afford to do that cause they don't have holes like we do.  Also Eagles traded up to get Mukuba, was he BPA?

We seem to have a philosophical difference. Of course every team has a board based on their needs. What we must be cognizant of is that not all prospect are on the board of every team. That being said, presumably a board is full of players that can fill a team's own needs, or "holes" if you will. That being said, you should stick to the board. In no way should you pick a lower ranked player over a higher ranked player. Good teams don't do that. You can't necessarily fill every hole via the draft. And, to be honest, if you're forcing yourself to fill a hole, you're probably going to end up with more holes after the dust settles.

Fill holes the best that you can in free agency, and then use the draft to choose the best players. Having patience and discipline is generally a good philosophy when it comes to building something. Team building is no different.

The league says otherwise

Matt Leblanc Whatever GIF

Yeah, teams contort logic to make a need magically become the best player available.  We are the perfect example.  Find me a hand full of Big Boards where T-Mac was the 8th best prospect.  News flash, he wasn't.  Walker was rated higher.

    • I mean, this shouldnt be a surprise to anyone thats been watching him the past 3 seasons. Only fools started believing after a couple good games this year.
    • If you are still defending bryce and making excuses at this point you probably need to be committed to doretha dix.  How the fug can you watch games like GB, jets, NO and last night and not be like this tiny fuger cannot play in the nfl?
    • my thoughts   1.  If you dont think Canales is so fuging done with Bryce then I dont know what to tell you 2.  I dont give a fug what @Verge, @AceBoogie or whoever, Bryce young is not a nfl qb 3.  I am now moving my draft thoughts up from drafting a dude in the mid rounds to going after one in the first.  Something has to change, it sucks not getting a top LB but we aint winning poo until we get a legit qb in here 4. Bryce young cannot be on this roster next year, I dont give 3 flying fugs if he goes to wherever next year and blows up the potential for whatever that was to happen on a game by game basis is insane. 5.  Oh and Canales fuging blows and I am praying its just Bryce holding him back but he looked like a middle school coach going against a super bowl level staff
