IMO its in Bryce's hands. Carolina has a top 15 pick in 2026 draft, then they choose QB, if not Bryce played well enough to keep them out of drafting high in the 1st again.

15ish is like an 8 win team.  That would be the best Panther season in like 8 seasons at that point.

Agreed. Even if Bryce plays out and we have a chance to get a good rookie QB, you take it.  It's too important a position to not have a good backup/future starter at because you have a starter.  injuries happen, contract negotiations fall through, etc.

That makes absolutely no sense when you have your starting QB on a rookie contract.  You don't invest another first round pick in a QB.  Unlike other positions, you can't play them together.

Haha so you think we're a QB away from being a playoff team?   Like someone already said if we're picking top 15 we're a .500 team and that's a successful season in my book for a roster that's still rebuilding.  Even if Bryce balls out, chances are we lose more than we win because our roster just isn't there yet.   Don't let the post draft hype blind you.

All I am going to say is this. No one plays like he did at the end of the last season and its a fluke. Kid was straight balling out there. You heard it every week from the opposing team. Doubt if you want but BY9 is here to stay, you should find something else to talk about.

I mean, the NFL is full of QBs who have put together a couple games.    Young wasn’t even playing on fire/balling really.  It was pretty average play.  It was just stark constrast to what he did prior.

can’t paint Bryce as any sort of certainty IMO yet

Matt Moore was doubted after 2009.  People should still have doubts about Bryce.

They should.  People can rah rah all they want, it's not going to change how he performs.  All he has proven so far is that he deserves another chance this year.  If he comes out looking like he did last year he will be benched and replaced in next years draft.

I still think the O and talent sort of runs counter to his natural style of play.   So, I still think we have a fit issue more than any other.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
