Rod is a problem. 

I did somthing I didn't even do last year I turned that sh*t show off. 

Im not even mad. Honestly looks like this team has lost faith in not just rod but also his system.

They lost 31 games and were down 2-0 to Toronto and were down big in game 3 before coming back to win. They aren’t the 1990s Red Wings. This franchise has just reached its ceiling under this coach. It’s time to move on.

      I mean, you've seen it two offseasons and drafts You can see it in the value ratings more in this draft than the last one. We had more to work with, but you could see the setup of this draft by the moves in free agency as clear as day also. No, BPA is not a myth.

      Loosely related thoughts .. I really do feel for Icky but if he had been healthy no way we take Freeling.  I think the big extension he was in line for and was getting, would have been an overpay. So in a way this might be a break. Depending on Freeling working out.  If I were offered an even money bet on whether he returns to form or is a shadow of what he was, I am going with shadow. I just wouldn’t count on him for anything if it was going to cost market value. G, RT, whatever. To me, he needs to sign an incentive laden short term deal that doesn’t leave us on the hook if he can’t cut it. Go from there.    He caught a horrible bad break but at least got 17.5 mil as a consolation prize. Or 16.5 or whatever it is.
