That's my biggest concern with making him the 2C.  You split up the Aho Jarvis bromance that accounted for a lot of points.  If Jarvis excels as a C, it could help the team even more though.

If you move Jarvis to line 2 at center then your lines are probably going to be the following.

Ehlers - Aho - Svechnikov (Svech and Ehlers can switch and play either side.

Hall - Jarvis - Stankoven

Martinook - Staal - Blake

Carrier - Jankowski - KK

Could also make the case to switch Stankoven and Blake around.

He's pretty damn good defensively, 55% fo center and still a half point per game player at 36.

98% defensive EV and 61% WAR player if going into advanced stats.

I figured i was not seeing the big picture--when I first started following the Canes a few years ago, I thought his brand name status meant that he was the superstar and I think I always expected him to perform at that elite level--I did not know he was a half point player--he sure (to me) is quiet about it.

He was supposed to be relegated to the 4th line as the honorary captain by now.  But he hasn’t fallen off enough to be unseated from the main checking line.

I saw some people saying Svech should be with Jarvis to offset the size.  Jarvis Stankoven is pretty small.

Also worth mentioning that Jordan Staal has always been more of a defensive forward.  His older brother Eric was more of a scorer.  I still remember Jordan as the kid the Penguins were lucky to have as 3C under Crosby and Malkin.

HE Is ELITE defensively in fact hes probably 75% of the reason we are so good at home in the playoffs, Rod line matches his line against our opponents best offensive line.

Staal isnt gonna score much but he sure as heck stops scoring and is a monster PKer.
