Outside of cerrato, I do like our draft overall. Hard to get can't miss draft picks when you pick late in the draft

I would love to see Ryabkin make the big squad. He's that sandpaper we've been missing. If Aho is 250 grit and Carrier is 80 grit, this dude is that rough 5 grit that'll take your fingerprints off...

I think Cerrato will surprise some folks. The last two players the Canes have selected that were PPG players as freshmen were Jackson Blake and Bradly Nadeau. Cerrato’s in pretty good company as a PPG producer as a freshmen. He’s also a fantastic skater.

Sure, he’s an overager but I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s centering the 4th line in a couple years.

I surprisingly like this pick, I think he makes the team as well in the next couple years.

He just can’t be Svech in the Box 2.0 though

Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts.

Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.
