Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.

Meh. Players respected and trusted Marty Hurney too. Turns out players love the guy that's lining their pockets. Who knew?

All that matters is that we actually finally start developing talent.

Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.

His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.

Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?

I have a little more faith than I used to but I'm still not sold yet.  Everyone wants to talk about how he improved our oline.  True, he definitely did.  He just brought in the two biggest free agents and paid them, I wouldn't say it was rocket science.  We have the highest paid oline in the NFL for a unit while greatly improved, ranks middle of the pack.   I will be sold and heap my praise when we have a position group outperforming their payroll.  What he did with the oline wasn't genius, it was common sense.

Yep, they way the o line was built is not a sustainable way to build each position group. We need to be better at drafting to really turn things around.

THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.

Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.

    • 949 yds is a strong #2 yards production and identical to Rams #2 Adams. Not sure what your criticism is here
    • I mean they are meeting with guys at his position group. It would be highly unlikely that they are not considering the top ranked player at his position. He was reportedly a joy to talk to interviews. i think I’m leaning towards him not being who they pick, but they are absolutely considering him.
    • Blah blah blah. You don't stop building your team because the QB hasn't shown you the consistency that you want. Anything other than keeping pressing on is managerial incompetence. One monkey doesn't stop the show; you ultimately replace the damned monkey. Coker hasn't shown any consistency to be a WR2, much less anything more. At this point we can't even rely on him to stay on the field. He's a solid receiver, but doesn't provide the speed or dynamicism that will open up the offense; That's the real elephant in the room. We're going to draft a receiver on day one or two; I'd bet on it. Maybe not a lot of WR1 upside, but some quality upside is definitely there in this draft.
