LaMelo Ball out for tonight's game against the Pelicans.

So far nothing has changed with our two best players availability very early in the season.

Sad.

It really is pitiful. These guys have no motivation to actually play an just want to get paid. Hint- If you cannot stay on the court, you don't deserve max money.

I guess the joke is on us for expecting any differently.

Best thing I can say about the Hornets currently is we do have more promising young talent in the event of Ball or Miller missing games.

But the culture remains the problem. When the leaders of the team are quick to take games off eventually that is going to translate to the rest of the roster even the younger guys. What's their incentive to keep grinding you know?

Anywho. We lost to the winless Pelicans last night. Doesn't get any lower than that.

Just rewatched the Pelicans game and couple of points.   Where the fug is glass ass Lamelo and Brandon.  I mean play through some injuries this is bullshet.  Also, the coach is literally doing nothing.  This team has talent now and we keep playing completely clueless finishing games.  We need a new coaching staff with any kind of backbone and light a fire.  This team has to shake this loser mentality

Golden State had "The Splash Brothers."

Charlotte has "The Glass Brothers."

I think front office and general team culture under new ownership is sort of on the right track. The rookies all look incredible compared to where you'd expect each one of them to be right now. Lee's in game coaching is awful, he might be ok as a culture and developmental guy but that can't outweigh the in-game miscues and bad game plans. If LaMelo can't figure out the ankles then I think you gotta trade him for a haul, can't keep having your seasons lost every year because he can't stay on the court. And I say that as a big fan of him. Miller I think is unlucky, he looks likely to be an elite core player for us, but if he can't put together a stretch of healthy seasons he would trend towards LaMelo and need to be moved. I used to like Miles on the court a lot more but nowadays he's just an empty stat guy who needs to go. The short lived hot start to the season was fun but unless LaMelo and Miller both get and stay healthy within the next few weeks I can't even see us being a play-in team this year. And even if they do get healthy, we're probably looking at play-in at best, maybe barely compete for that fringe 6th seed.

Hornets gave up 51 first quarter points to the Heat.

The only good news is our rookie class looks to be the best we've had in many many years. Bad news is they seem to be outplaying our veterans at times. We need to trade Miles Bridges. Plays way too much iso and just takes poor shots and then does next to nothing on the other end. Can't have your vets playing like this.

Miles Bridges?  At least he is on the court playing hard.  It's a shame we cannot say the same for Ball and Miller.  Need to trade Ball ASAP, he just doesn't care enough to lead this team.

My guy Miles Bridges is a 7 year veteran and he is mid at best on a good night which is few and far between now. Anyway you aren't trading one without the other (Bridges and LaMelo) regardless because they are close. Virtually no one here and only player only fans of LaMelo expect him to ever play anything close to the bulk of a season again. It's rapidly approaching the point of ripping off the bandaid. And if and when that happens both LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges will be gone.

    • Fair point, honestly didn't even realize he was listed as questionable as well, could still be for both of them in case either isn't able to go tomorrow. That Canales said something like "we'll check him out tomorrow to make sure he's able to go" still makes me think they were still expecting him to play, as that would be a weird way to phrase it if they felt he was more likely to not be playing. Still just hoping it would be like when a player feels something in a game, gets checked out, but goes back in.  And since it was just practice, once he felt anything, they just shut him down for the day to be safe.
    • The Golden Calf of Bristol was Mr Clutch time.  It’s the Skip Bayless argument.  Someone how being trash all game doesn’t matter….if you can cherry pick one random play late
    • I remember all those names now that I see them. I remember Graham missing the kick in GB too. Swiss cheese memory.
