HC Canales praise Jimmy Horn

Recommended Posts

You right, just reading several articles and didn't hear any negitive about any one.  Guess he subscribes to the theory that folks would would rather be patted on the back.  Its a long season and I for 1 can't wait!!!  Go Panthers!!!

I think Horn probably makes the team

But he compared him to a player who was cut last year.

"I think about Deven Thompkins—who I love, who was here last year. They just bring out the best in everybody because you know, when they're out there, they're going 100 miles per hour, full speed and they're looking to take the top off. So, I love that style about Jimmy. And what he's shown us—whether it's in drills or in the team periods, he's just all gas."

Thompkins finished the season on the active roster after being waived due to injury in camp and making his way back. He's comparing their effort not their futures.

Recent draft picks tend to be safe unless they are clearly beat out.  They will keep 6 WR with Moore and Renfroe battling for the last spot.

yeah, the comp was a little bit of an interesting one.  I mean, you can love someone's energy and speed.  Horn could also run horrible routes and need a year to the side the get at the NFL level.

He also coming out of that really quirky Colorado O that was overly pass heavy O that was super spread out.   Horn going to have to get used to blocking, hands on him, and all sorts of stuff.  He was a 6th rounder for a reason.

Where’s that poster that was a Colorado bandwagon fan at? Haven’t seen him post in awhile

Think he is on an extended vacation if memory serves.  Or at least his old user name is.

    • Nope Still missing it. Let's try this a different way... You have two quarterbacks from schools that ran the same kind of offense - maybe even two from the same school - on a given team (not necessarily the Panthers). One is designated the starter while the other is named the backup. Why?
    • yeah, pretty sure boss.....when things match and fit in the NFL.....the results then show it.  and when they don't, well, the results show that as well.  Bryce doesn't fit.   *but I get why late season and wants to argue with everyone Mr. Scot has also turned into a please don't talk to me about stats guy as well.  Given, the stats that reflect offensive productivity work against all your present arguments.
    • Yeeeah...stats and rankings have zero to do with a discussion of scheme and skill set match. Maybe look up definitions of style vs ability and see if that helps. At this point, you've basically had three different people explain to you where you're wrong, but rather than addressing any of those statements, you're just resorting to straight deflection.  You don't get it. Either that or you're acting like you don't get it so that you can avoid the discussion because it's not going well for you. (that wouldn't surprise me either) 😄 Sme result either way, I suppose.
