Limited contact without pads always favors the edge who wins with speed. Princely has had a royal start but I wouldn’t crown anyone or send anyone to the guillotine just yet.

One on one coverage drills against Jimmy Horn look unfair. He’s beating fellow rookies by four or five yards. Latest victim is Trevian Thomas. Horn jokingly jogs to the end zone and dose a tumble dive. Funny stuff.

Bryce Young with excellent placement on a throw to a well-covered Xavier Legette (vs. CSW I think) who catches the ball cleanly and sprints for a huge gain up the field in 11.

During a break in practice, a whole bunch of guys are cramming into the cold trailer. Almost like clowns in a funny car.
Related: it’s 90°, feels like 96.

About half the team piles into the cooling trailer at the approximate halfway point of practice. Temps approaching 100 degrees here in Charlotte NC.

Bryce Young first two 11s series:
-Pass deflected at LOS
-Chuba run middle
-Rico run left
-Bubble route to H Renfrow

Then:
-Run left Chuba
-Young bootleg, shakes a defender in backfield, finds Xavier Legette on a crossing route, great completion

Trevor Etienne beat two DBs for a nice catch in the end zone off a RZ throw from Dalton. It was a dime toss.

What rookies are they claiming Jimmy Horn Jr is cooking?  Beating them by 4-5yards sounds crazy.  We didn't have any rookie corners?

Must be the new safeties, but still.  Trevian Thomas ran a 4.45.  I keep hearing about Jimmy's insane speed, I just don't understand it.  I know game speed is different, and I am excited to see it, but just wow.

I don't know that it is the QBs that should be scared, but the big man certainly gets attention.  He gets a lot of double and even triple teams to try to contain him, and that makes everyone else better.  He is a scary man on the field.
