Reed is wearing #88. Chisena was a key special teams guy for the Panthers a year ago but started camp on the PUP list with a calf injury.

Andy Dalton threw to Jimmy Horn down the middle in traffic and Horn got popped incidentally by Nick Scott. Held onto the ball in 7s.

7s work, no pads. Andy Dalton to Jimmy Horn Jr over the middle. Bit of a hospital ball — Horn gets knocked to the turf (cleanly) by Nick Scott in coverage. But still snags it and flexes afterward. Impressive.

#Panthers sign Ja'seem Reed, one of 3 WRs who tried out yesterday

Interesting choice to cut Dan Chisena. Not the worst WR on the roster, same with Amare Barno for the EDGEs

Seems like they're releasing bubble guys early instead of waiting until cut day so  other guys get a shot

#Panthers CB Shemar Bartholomew with a solid day so far.

Had a PBU on the first series of the second period of 11 on 11 and just started the third series with an INT on a Bryce Young pass.

“Chandler was having such a great camp.”

Canales said Brady Christensen and Jarrett Kingston are picking up slack.

Injury happened in a one on one drill with Derrick Brown.

btw, 30 years ago today, we played our first preseason game.  It was the Hall of Fame Game, and we played the expansion Jaguars.  Frank Reich was our QB, and theirs was Mark Brunell, and he got hot, scared me.  I really wanted us to win our first game of any kind, but also for expansion bragging rights.  

We won.

I wouldn't read much into it regardless. We've already seen Dalton in real action beyond one or two starts. And it was the complete opposite of good.

My advice for anyone through camp and preseason is not to get too high or too low over what you see and hear. I'm not buying or selling anything until I see how this team performs the first two games of the season. From there we'll form a picture.
