Just remember. There was a time when people here were wanting to give Darnold franchise money after a few games with us. Yeah, he can look great at times. 

But like the Vikings learned, he will eventually regress and when he does, it doesn't look pretty.

Still wanted to keep him back then with a more affordable deal, but I don't make the calls around here.

Darnold may never be better than a mid tier starter, but man does that feel like a huge upgrade at times.
