The Chiefs receivers are trash and Father Time has caught Kelce. The Chiefs need to seriously re-tool at the offensive skill positions. The cupboard is empty.

Father Time, with some Pop Star Jet Set ultra wealthy lifestyle help him along.
3 or 4 years ago, no one had an answer for Kelce. Playoff teams couldn’t cover him. And since then it seems he has coasted more in the regular season, and still turned it on in crunch time. I think he could still do that but do they have enough on offense to make it that far?

Wonder if it’s from the GM or Mara that Dart doesn’t play.  Daboll has 0 reason to be preserving him.  He’s gonna get fired himself.

If you are an embattled HC and your org wants you to deal with a new draft pick at QB, you may as well quit if they don’t give you some believable assurances that they won’t hold the growing pains against you.
They gave him a QB placeholder that really offers little hope, they should be hands off while this plays out.

Game on the line is a little much. I mean at 22-9 with under 3 minutes to go your chances are slim to none but with Russ's final goal line series it was definitely none. Honestly one of the sorriest sequences of quarterbacking I've ever seen at any level. I don't know how they can trot him back out there next week after that.

Following up on this, it's gonna be interesting if their D continues to dominate or if teams start to adjust after getting more film on them. That DC is in his bag right now getting an amazing shiny new toy to play with on the eve of the season kicking off. He's just gonna be a step ahead of the competition for awhile until they figure out how adding that new chess piece is impacting how he deploys his defense. I think they'll probably tail off a little once more film is out but I still think they're gonna prove to be one of if not the best defense in the league.

And just like that, GB gives up 13 unanswered points and loses to the Browns. Any given Sunday…

They should have let Dart pass the ball.  It was like letting the air out of the stadium every time he came out of the game.

Instead they took him out then had old man Russ run a read option and a draw. Mike Shula level "they'll never see it coming" thinking. Yeah, they'll never see it coming because it's colossally stupid and they're not worried about it. LOL

Russ just isn't good enough to keep a 1st round pick on the bench.  Not one that played as well as Dart in preseason.

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
