Sellers would be nuts to leave school.

He needs a LOT of seasoning. Tons of potential but he need at least a year or two more.

He needs to leave Shula and play for a team than can develop him. Lincoln Riley at the other USC could do wonders for him. I doubt he leaves though as he is from SC.

He is way closer to Anthony Richardson than Cam Newton on that scale of QB.   Not saying he can’t get close to the Cam side but a desperate NFL team will ruin him year 1.  Hope he stays another year.  He doesn’t need to run away from college like others for a check anymore

Nah. Especially with the NIL. Get the college money and develop properly.

Yep. It's not like you're leaving a ton of money on the table. Dude could hit the portal and bag millions just like Beck did. Honestly, if you're not a likely first round pick at QB you're probably better off hitting the portal and fielding bids. Guys like Quinn Ewers need to be cashing NIL checks until they run out of eligibility. They may be borderline NFL talents but that's worth millions as a college QB. I mean, a borderline NFL talent is still a pretty damn good college QB.

Yeah, as someone said earlier, go find a Lincoln Riley or another great QB coach to help you develop.

I've said numerous times that if I had a son who was an elite QB recruit who's dream it was to play at UNC I'd STILL make him at least hear Lincoln Riley out. I mean, when it comes to putting QBs in the NFL I don't think any other active coach is even in the conversation.

I became a true believer after seeing what he did with Jalen Hurts. Hurts looked like a guy who needed a position change at Bama and Riley turned him into a Heisman candidate and 2nd round pick. He would've honestly went in the 1st if his Bama tape didn't leave evaluators scratching their heads as to which tape was telling the truth. It was just impossible to reconcile his Bama play and his OU play.

And even some of these "elite" programs have a suspect history of QB development.

A lot of them do. I mean, they're stacking elite recruits like cordwood. If a guy isn't ready to go one of the other ones probably is. They're not gonna waste the time trying to develop the guy who needs a lot of work. Hence why Bama yanked Hurts for Tua.

Clemson literally has a natty because Hurts couldn’t complete a simple forward pass once Derrick Henry got knocked out.
