This is the same tired crap that has been being pushed for the past few years. Most of these big classes have fizzled even before the draft. 2026 is a prime example.

Anyone who thought Manning, Sellers and, honestly, Moore coming out this year was just a pipe dream.  You are right some of these guys will go back , but some are COMPLETELY fine being QB3, QB4 and even QB5 in this draft for '27.  Is it better to give up a few million dollars in  the short term or make millions more over the long term?  If Joe Shmoe on the internet can figure this out, then certainly paid professional consultants can.

And there is more financial incentive to stay in college these days. Do I want to be a Day 3 QB or catch $2-5 mil in college?

If you aren't going in the 1st or 2nd at the absolute latest, you're better off staying in school as a QB. If I was advising a kid I'd tell him to stay in school and cash NIL checks until he ran out of eligibility or was a 1st round lock.
