Definitely gonna have to check out Indiana to catch this Mendoza guy. I mean, this is about as close to perfect as stat lines get...

Also, holy poo did Illinois ever get fraud checked as a top 10 team. LOL! I bet the list of top 10 teams getting blown out by 50+ plus is a very short list.

He only had 1 incompletion last week. He's 40-43 in the past two games 10 passing TDs, 1 tuddy rushing and 0 picks.  All this in 6 quarters as he was pulled at halftime last week.  Two weeks in a row with QB rating north of 250.

There was some hype about Mendoza coming into the season. He was efficient at Cal (accurate, good arm) and Indiana's coaching staff has been getting the best out of previous Quarterbacks.

The next two weeks are the ones to look out for, Faces Iowa and then Oregon.

TBH, right now I am maybe less interested in scouting Mendoza as I am Curt Cignetti.

Wish he wasn't 64 years old.

Cignetti was an assistant under Saban for several years at Alabama. He is a great coach that didn't get a big opportunity until he was older. Finally getting to show everyone how good of a coach he is. As an IU fan I hope he stays at IU and becomes a legend leading one of the worst football programs in college football history to national relevance.

The powers that be were clearly NOT anticipating a noon matchup between two teams desperately trying not to be at the bottom of the ACC for this one. Luda hitting the stage at 10AM. It is way too damn early in the day to be getting that crunk to watch bad football. LOL

Ya know, I honestly think I would've just cancelled it even if it meant paying him not to show.

I actually think this aligns perfect.  A Ludacris concert at 10:00am that feature a sparse crowd of random 45 year old moms in attendance....before past their prime greats of Dabo and Belichick compete in a battle of he can lose to the other in an ugly game of football.

UNC has turned their entire football program into a meme. $10 mil/yr to literally be the laughingstock of all of college sports.

I am gonna be honest, I saw that coming the whole way. You scrounge up that kind of coin and you get a 73 year old guy that had NEVER coached at the college level??? Then the nepo hires and other people that were NFL unemployed or unemployable?? I mean....what in the actual fug???

I am guessing even at that price tag they couldn't get any legit interest from top coaching candidates. That's the only thing that excuses the decision making that seemed to follow.

What am insane end to BB's career.

    • Yea when teams see a gun charge they rightly pause but this seems like a big misunderstanding.
    • Sorry man you lost me at "Teppers have evolved as owners". Limped into playoffs at 8-9 not even above .500 Tepper is trash as an owner bro and that's not even a discussion at this point. 37-83 w/l ratio. Nuff said.... Morgan tho, he's cooking and it ain't cuz of Teppers leadership
    • After listening to Morgan's presser twice, I came away with some key beliefs. First of all, I don't think he's a bullshitter. What you see is what you get. When he says something, he means it.  The Teppers really have evolved as owners. Morgan has mentioned how they're easy to work with--a pleasure to work with a few times now. There seems to be a good relationship between all of them (and include Dave Canales on that). We'll see if it lasts. Yes, no one wanted to come to Carolina with the previous management, but that seems to have changed. The team signed arguably the top Edge, LB and OT on the market, two of them on pretty good deals and one on what I'll say is "not a bad one." And, credit Sunshine Dave "Flowers and Cotton Candy" Canales for helping to change the culture. Morgan mentioned getting guys--and I'm paraphrasing--that are not only great football players but great people. Don't look for us to be acquiring any James Pearce types anytime soon, just saying. We'll see if that holds true in the future. Dan Morgan really has set up the Panthers to take the BPA/BAP. He mentioned it at least a couple of times, and he doesn't seem pressured to pinpoint a particular position. He just wants quality players that will help the team. This is how it's going to be (to your joy or dismay, probably for as long as he's here), and personally I love it. Many of us know how Morgan was when he played: aggressive! That's what he's going to be when making acquisitions. He explicitly said it, and emphasized it. All avenues are open (think FA, waivers...the draft)! Personally, as long as it's controlled aggression and not reckless aggression, I love it.  On KP: "Mobility is big in this league."  He basically says if another QB is the BPA while drafting--we're going by our board, people--we're going to add them.        ...
