I thought Shedeur looked better than expected and hope he takes the QB1 spot in Cleveland...

...but man, the amount of glazing he is getting for scoring on 2 of 6 drives (one of them starting from the Carolina 10) against what was a historically bad defense is a bit goofy.

You of all people talking about someone else glazing a young QB based on a small sample size.

He struggled against starters? He got the offense to the Panthers 21, where Stefanski in his infinite wisdom went into an empty set, where Wonnum, I believe, made it into the backfield virtually untouched in about 0.62 seconds.

The first drive should have been extended but Johnson missed a catch and I believe their tight end, or slot receiver, didn't get the correct depth on a hitch.

I don't think he struggled against any of the Panthers defense if I'm being honest. And if that's what his struggling looks like, then trade for him now. I've seen struggle the past two years, that wasn't it.

3/7 for 26 yards against the starters

Why are you so focused on a Browns QB anyways?

You've spent weeks badmouthing our rookie WR who had yet to play a down in an NFL game then when he finally did and looked good you went completely silent. Odd.

Yeah, Sanders had a very nice debut preseason performance but the folks acting like he's arrived based on that performance are getting way out ahead of themselves.

The media is going to overreact to his play because of his name.  He did play solid against our backups.  Stayed calm in the pocket and made some nice passes.  I still think he can be a solid QB in this league, but it's just hard for me to dig too much into preseason.  I'd consider putting him behind Flacco if I were the Browns and once they get eliminated playing him to see what they have in him.

That'd be my plan. Figure out which one of your rookie QBs has the most upside/potential and throw him out there once the season is basically over.

Best bet imo. Last thing they want to do is have to protect Shedeur while still having to build the team. Let Flacco guide the ship and then give Shedeur the keys once they're eliminated.

Of course, they could always do the Huddle-preferred method of forcing him into action because his last name is Sanders and that means he has to play hero ball. 🙃

Lol...hardly any rookie is gonna get playing time against starters in the pre season. So I guess there is nothing to evaluate for respective teams right?  Makes sense i guess. Lol

I think he did a solid job.  Honestly I liked his post game interview the best.  He gave himself a C and said he left a lot out on the field.  That kind of attitude can carry him far.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
