I think AT gets traded at the deadline and Moore comes up from the practice squad (if we can stash him) and that’s our final WR room

I think the Huddle dramatically overvalues AT in any trade scenario.

He has high value here because we lacked any consistent, reliable options. Also he had great chemistry with Bryce.

He isn't going to be a good fit for a lot of teams/schemes/rosters.

I would say Renfrow may be on shakier ground than most simply due to health. If that hadn't been the case, I have no doubt he would be a lock.

Renfrow’s health really was all tied to a diagnosis that got figured out.  It’s not like he is  is the Clemson variant of Jaycee Horn where he can’t stay healthy.

Renfrow to me is just niche play.  Do you want that or don’t you in your O.   To me to historically doesn’t fit Canales but it would be ideal for BY’s natural play style.  What hurt’s Renfrow the most is they paid AT to hog up slot reps.

Of course, but he is a good fit for a few (49ers for example) and injuries happen. I don’t think we’re getting a 2nd for him or anything but I could see us trading him for a 6th round and cap relief then rolling with TMac, Coker, Horn, XL, Moore, maybe Renfrow

kindof depends on our record at the deadline and how Bryce and co are playing.  If its all gone to hell then move what you can, if we are clawing our way in it then keep status quo.

No good team that would want his “skills” wants 10 million cap hit for Ricky Prohel to come off the bench.

He could fetch a 4th or 5th round pick if he's not already IR'd by the trade deadline.

To me, if it comes down to making a tough decision you gotta think about the future. We aren't competing for a SB this year. We're trying to drag ourselves out of the cellar while building toward the future. If you have to make a cut at WR that you don't want to make I think you have to cut the 35 year old who was already considering retirement. Hell, let him announce his retirement to save face but then process the paperwork as a cut so he's still paid his guarantees.

I love Coker but to write XL off because of a fight and not see how he has improved yet is rather insane to me right now.

Tune in this week for totally different hot takes, heroes and bums.   Such is life this time of year.    All it would take is XL housing one, Renfrow alligator arming a ball, Moore being clutch and the huddle will redo the depth chart quicker you can imagine.

    • I see the issues with Tyreek, which is why I put an asterisk on him and all the way on the bottom. I don't even see him playing at all this entire year since he hasn't even been seen working out at all. But I do not think he's as hard to play with as Stefon Diggs is IMO and Tyreek is more of a game changer. But either way, it's pie in the sky.  Always loved Keenan and he is from the Carolinas so that's really the only thing that may interest him playing here if no one is giving him any calls to play.
    • It's not that I'm not rooting for him to do well, but I'd be lying if I said him having a good season wouldn't scare me after what we've seen out of him so far. I'd be afraid of it just being one of those situations you see all the time, a player is in a make it or break it season, they somehow raise their level of play to new levels, and then proceed to immediately drop back off a cliff the next season (although this does usually happen in contract years, not a player trying to not get cut). Now, if you tell me that no matter how well he plays, we're then going to flip him for a draft pick in the offseason, then yea, I'd want him to go off for a monster season so we can get a better return.
    • Helllllllllllllll no on Tyreek, not even on a vet minimum and if he was playing at his peak abilities. We have way too young of a WR room to bring that head case into the locker room, there is just no way I want him around any of our WRs.  The things that make him great aren't things that can be taught, they're his natural born athletic gifts, so there isn't anything useful he can teach our guys and would just be a bad influence on them. Same goes for Stefon Diggs. Allen I'd love, he'd be a great mentor for T-Mac and Coker, but I doubt he plays anywhere other than with the Chargers or a legit true SB contender this year (and only small odds on the latter there, likely Chargers or nothing I'd guess).
