I don't think anyone has given up on him.  We are just frustrated.  He probably is too.  It is in all of our best interests for him to work out.

We are emotional in Carolina, and therefore impatient.  The fans will come back around once he starts putting it all together.  Good luck out there X.

Echoes what I've heard about him from a couple of his college teammates that I know.  They all say the same thing.  Humble and works as hard as anyone on the team.  I do hope it all comes together for him.

I think XL the person is great and that story, which is very cool, is not really surprising. I just want XL the NFL football player to take a step forward.

Yeah, no one should hate this guy. He seems like quite the character. I am sure he is very fun.

I mean...that's the most important story to hear.  We start hearing that one, and I will be much more willing to sit down for other story times.

If a player wants us to care about them, we care about football first.  That goes for any player.

Speaking for myself, I care about the person more than the player. If they're not a good player, they just hurt the team. If they're not a good person, then they can hurt their team and the communities that they are a part of.

Similar to how I don't believe in giving a person a pass for being a scumbag just because they can run fast and catch a ball for a team I like. Character still counts (despite how much it seems not to in today's society).

It is definitely important.  I am with you on that.  I don't want bad people anywhere near my team.  I am a big locker room type guy.

My point is, there are plenty of good people out in the world for us to be interested in.  We are here for football.  In this setting, they have to be good at that first in my opinion.  If they are a trash human, that does outweigh it all for me, though.
