The latest from Adam Schefter:

Vikings and Panthers have tried to work out a trade for Carolina WR Adam Thielen, who would like to return to Minnesota, but the two sides continue to struggle to agree on compensation.

It sounds like there is a good chance of this happening (I wish it wouldn’t) but at least if it does, Morgan won’t be fleeced. Vikings fans are crying saying panthers should just give him away, that’s not how this works. He’s too valuable to the offense and is the best wr on the team.

It seems to me that Adam Thielen's agent is using Adam Schefter as a way to make this trade happen.

That's the bit I didn't want to throw out without another source.

So now it's out, AT and his wife want to go back home. So he's actually pushing for this trade since him and his agent had to get involved because of the paycut request.

Why I've stood firm that the trade would eventually happen.

He definitely wants to go back, him and his wife stay there in the off-season. He's worked out with JJ the last two offseasons and has done an interview about JJ and how good he thinks he's going to be.

Neither wanted to leave Minnesota in the first place but he didn't want to retire yet, now it's getting down to what seems like his last year and he wants to go back to Minnesota, play his last year there and retire a Viking.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
