I'm convinced this organization doesn't like receivers that can actually catch the football.

Mark my words; they'll trade Thielen for peanuts and trot out XL as our WR2 and have David Moore playing WR3 while Coker rides the bench.

Didn't trade him for peanuts. But yes, route runners are a no go here. Otherwise we would have had Matthew Golden or Tyler Warren.

Sounds like Renfrow and Panthers still in talks.

Yeah, I saw a tweet elsewhere, I think it was one of our best writers, and they said “the ball is in [Hunter Renfrow’s] court.”  So sounds like we cut him to get down to the limit and give him time to figure out if he wants to play or not, and if he does, we’ll bring him back.

my reading of the tea leaves is they offered him a PS squad spot after AT talked his way out of here and Hunter was like nah….this thing smells dysfunctional so let me “talk” to the wife  and agent despite making it known I was only willing to play in Carolina

as far as the “dips” go Canales used to support his decision?  I think he is just selling bologna.  We got reporters covering every moment of action on the field.   It never existed in camp. So he is trying to spin the dip as not making enough plays in preseason while getting hosptial balls from a dude not even good enough to play preseason garbage time.

Reporters almost never talk about guys struggling.

It was all sunshine and rainbows about Bryce and that defense last year during camp.

It’s just what they do.

To me it was telling when the Renfrow mentions dropped significantly halfway through camp.

I know some of his family so I’ll get the real story sooner or later. I know it was always his dream to play here, so I’d think he’d do it if he could.

Almost as funny as Carolina Panther homers before a season kicks off

My preseason calls under Tepper have played out at a high percentage.  It's so easy.  When things smell odd....they 99% of the time are just that.  Just go with that.

    • With Schoen and Dan Morgan being tight I’d figure we knew this was coming and since he is released, Dan didn’t bite.    But, a quick search says this is at least 80% cap related. They have No cap space and save 8 or 9 million with releasing him.  He has been a captain his entire time there. 145 tackles this year.  They are picking 5th with a new staff and looking at Styles. Hitting that age 30 season and had a disc issue last year (meaning 2024) that did not require surgery.  I haven’t really watched him play but he activated the antennae.
    • OK, we are letting our top RB go.  We have Chuba, Etienne, and Brooks.  Imagine a player who could LEGITIMATELY play the slot and back up at RB?  I am sure he'd be a special team player as well.  I noticed him at the combine, and thought, "Here is a late rounder who could stand out as a slot and provide depth at RB. Without further ado....(I know one Huddler who might be able to tell us more about this guy): Navy running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich headlined the 2026 NFL Combine for the Midshipmen, running an official 4.44-second 40-yard dash and recording 16 reps on the bench press. Recognized as a versatile, "Swiss army knife" offensive weapon, Heidenreich solidified his draft stock as a potential day three target.    Eli Heidenreich (RB/WR - Navy) 2026 Combine Performance: 6'0" 200 lbs.   40-Yard Dash: 4.44 seconds. 10-Yard Split: 1.55 seconds. Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches. Broad Jump: 10' 0". Bench Press: 16 Reps. Highlights: Showcased as a premier receiving threat from the backfield, having left Navy as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (1,994). High character.  Smart.  Maybe, just maybe....
    • These refs are horrible.  They definitely got money on this game lol.
