Didn’t  we just sign Hooker? Canales is supposed to be a “qb whisperer,” let’s watch him turn Hooker into a legit starter.

Whisperer my ass. He claims to be excited about working with everyone or anyone. Truth is he will say anything to placate the reporters and fans. Actions speak louder than words.

Every season that passes, that label is looking less true:

Geno Smith continued to be serviceable for the Seahawks, taking them to the playoffs more than once.

Baker Mayfield actually had a better season after he left and is picking up where he left off this season.

A mid round flyer qb is a wasted pick 99 out of every 100 picks. It’s the single worst investment in a draft pick. Case in point, people wanted to take Hooker in the 3rd round and now we have him on our PS

So you wouldn't want a Sam Howell, a Tanner McKee, an Aidan O'Connell, a Davis Mills or hell a Brock Purdy on this roster right now?

I don’t understand why we are in year 3 of Bryce and this team has done nothing to push him or have any sort of competition.

Is Tepper is reading forum, he should answer that question. It sure looks like Bryce was anointed the starter from day one by none other than Tepper, and the rest of the organization were a bunch of ass kissing yes men.

No? Do you think they would be any better than Bryce Young? And Purdy and Brady are the 1 in 100 examples. There are 99 Will Greers for every Purdy.

Howell has potential. I think O’Connell did but he just wasn’t developed properly. Mills might be one of the most underrated back ups in the league.

Yea the Vikings drafted McCarthy and had Darnold on the bench. Oh sh*t McCarthy got hurt so they had Darnold who had the best season of his career. Meanwhile the Panthers have Bryce Young who can’t even throw for 100 yards a game outside of garbage time. F*ck this team

    • Thanks for the education on that, wasn't aware of this.  Seems odd and counterintuitive, but in Lloyds case I guess that worked to our advantage.
    • I am a little worried over the signing. Health concerns mostly.  I think the people that grade it poorly are focusing on sacks as their bar.  His pressure rates were just outstanding. That can lead to poor decisions being made. Bad throws. Sacks by teammates.    I won’t pretend there is no overpay but the guy could have taken less to stay and still been set for life. Maybe he doesn’t think their SB window is still open now, and he might be right. Maybe he thinks there is a bright future for the Panthers. I don’t know. I would think that has some part in it. Parse the words in primarily, I guess, but the phrase “big impression on people”, it is just a true statement. Meaning what it said on its face. I saw so much on twitter and media in the aftermath of that game that told me people took notice. For a lot of them it changed their perception of the Panthers.  PS the money is what it is. Parsons is getting 47 per year. Lots of guys get 30 or will get 30 moving forward.  Colts paid nearly that for 47 receptions and right at 1000 yards. Under 60 yards per game average.  poo is changing in two years it won’t really be noteworthy.
    • The deadline for picking up 5th year options is before season 4, not after.
