From Obser Canales 5 takeaways after film review

I'm getting the sense that Evero was promised a level of control on the defensive side of the ball that isn't common with most teams. Canales is the head coach; if he wants someone to play, they should play. He shouldn't have to "push" for anything.

Does Evero have it in his contract that he makes these decisions?

Yep its extremely concerning either way. Either Canales is a cuck who won't drop the nice guy act behind the scenes and lets assistants dictate or Tepper meddled (probably what happened) and promised Evero control and that was part of Canales getting the offer.

I don't think they planned on the outcome that season at the time. You are also assuming the FO was competent enough at the time to know what they were doing.

I was talking about this year after last year. They signed up for a year 3 after last year. No one guessed how bad he would be in 2024 but they did this year and still went with it.

He needed another year as DC to get the team a draft pick. Had they let him walk before this season the Panthers get nothing. The irony is that they will get nothing anyway as no team will hire him as a HC. I'm not sure he could get another DC job at this point.

It's 2 years and 25 is year 3. That was true in 24 where he then laid a gisnt turd. 25 after 24 isn't getting a pick and it was always a bad bet after 24. I don't think he was even interviewed this year which leads me to think that it won't change in the offseason given his coaching level hasn't improved.

I  cannot believe that after 7 years, they are still the worst team in the league

cant get rid of an owner

so, gotta get my ass back to church on sundays…more productive then wasting time on them….I’m on the west coast now, and they typically play at 10am out here on Sunday ticket

I absolutely hate it when they are on regular tv out here, as they ,Abe this weekend, they are a total embarrassment

I believe I read before that Evero does not like starting younger players even if they are better than what is on the field.

I felt Evero deserved another shot due to the multitude of injuries we had last year.  Now I wish we hadn't given him another shot.  We added so much talent to this defense he should have no excuses. It is literally the same defense as last year.  No difference and he should be sent packing now.  Bring Don Capers down from the front office.

Dom should not be here at all.

describing bryce's 4th and 1 pass as "to the back pylon" is fuging generous

More than generous. It's detached from reality. Which is what pretty much all each of these takes in defense of him have become. Fully detached from reality.

    • If this was 3 years ago during BY rookie year and it was fair "best man wins QB", white would have easily won.  I was a hooker fan and it didn't cost the Panthers what 100,000 to bring him in. White just knows to non-stop study the playbook and he's a 30year old pro at this stage.  Boogie too, but he ran out of PS call ups and only the love child of Gilbert and goodwin can remain on the PS. That guy from the 49ers put on a show for a guy just off another team. Im too sick, cause I enjoy following the PS and 6 moves mid-season is a big day!!...
    • Before rip me an ass, let me voice my opinion. It is not sustainable winning with 103 yards passing, no touchdowns, and turnovers. If they didn't have Rico blowing sh%t up, they would be in deep trouble. I am thrilled that they are winning. I am not being negative, just realistic. The season is almost half way over and they still have the problem of anemic QB production. Believe me, they know something has to give sooner or later. I like Bryce as a person and seems like a good dude. But being a good dude will not win games in the long run. Sooner or later, they will have to make a change. Their is a certain level of production that you need from the QB position. This kind of production will not get them to the next level.
