It is not trying to explain away. Bryce only played well when the game was out of reach. As soon as there was a chance the Cards could lose the game they put their foot back on the gas and smothered Bryce and that was with multiple defenders out because of injury.

Just go compare his stats from the first half and our last drive of the game vs the first 28min of the second half.

That drive where our starting center and our best offensive lineman were out?

Are there Bryce homers? 🤔

I know there are some folks who, even if he has the game of his life, will never forgive him for not being 6'3.

(or, in some cases, not being Cam Newton)

I don't give a sh-t about his size if he can consistently play at an NFL level.

Sadly, the jury's still out on that. I have seen him play well, but not enough that I'm confident.

He has never once played well in a meaningful NFL game.

The jury isn't out. He is simply not an NFL caliber starting QB. I will say that it is certainly possible in a few years after he makes his way through some other NFL stops that he develops but I find that very unlikely.

OL got better over time. High snaps are still an issue. Mayes didn't look much better than Corbett but his balls were low enough. Senior Citizen Calais Campbell was owning our interior.

The run offense wasn't good but we were also playing from behind the entire game due to early mistakes. Later in the game we were running it decently on first and second downs. The short yardage plays had to be designed with chuba as a fullback to get anything. Defenses seem to know when Rico is about to get the ball. They were on him almost immediately every time.

XL not mentally there. He was trying to do too much or not doing enough.

The TEs were used really well in the 3rd&4th to eat up dink and dunk yardage. All 3 of our guys were getting looks.

Brycen seems like a steal. One handed catch behind him was unreal. That should have been a pick.

Renfrow is getting a lot of looks. He's still putting his body on the line too much to catch some of these horrible balls.

TMac looked great. There was 1 ball where he should have caught it which was broken up. But pretty much everything else was a big positive yardage play and showing more shiftiness than I thought he would.

Defensive line turned up. It took them a while. Getting Princely and Nick in helps a lot too. Keeps the older guys fresh.

Both MLBs are awful. Bad angles. Bad play diagnosis. Bad wrap up. No coverage skills. McBride was eating them up. Kyler's big run was from what should have been a sure-fire sack. Need some more energy and beef from the MLBs in this scheme.

nick scott...

Ransom looked like he wanted to hit someone and enforce the middle.

Moehrig still needs to show us something more.

They tried to pick on Mike Jack but he started making plays. Don't think they tested Jaycee that much outside of running the ball his way sometimes.

The tackling at times was really poor. If it wasn't for Arizona constantly shooting themselves in the foot with holding penalties and kyler being kyler, this game could have easily been worse.

Special teams was tackling better after a while. Kicker looks good. The onside kick was crazy.

I don't like Bryce. I don't like his playstyle. I don't like what it requires to keep him serviceable. He made some good plays throughout the game. But he also put us in the hole to begin with. I would have liked for Bryce to hit the weight room harder by the 3rd year in the league. I need him to clean up his fumbles. More than throwing costly interceptions, he's fumbling the ball more often than not. He just doesn't have the strength to hold on. Weird that Kyler threw the same lame duck interception as him.

What impact then? That's usually what you say if your stud DT is anchoring a strong run D, but we're not stopping the run. I notice top DT's all the time. Chris jones, Jalen Carter, Q Williams, Vita Vea, J Simmons etc . Look what Calais Campbell just did to us. I'll give Brown a pass for now because he's coming back from a season ending injury, but his impact has been disappointing

Compare Campbell's supporting cast to Brown's

The Good: WR Corps minus XL, Sanders, CB's

The Bad: LB's, DL, Coaching, Run Game, OL Health

The Ugly: Bryce, XL

Guess I'm the only one that thought the D played well today.

The Cards were just repeatedly targeting Rozeboom and Scott - short of just benching them for rookies I don't know what Evero is meant to do there.

He dialled up a perfect blitz on that Murray 30 yard scramble and Rozeboom just whiffed. Should have been a 15 yard loss, drive over.

Jimmy's and Joe's, ladies and gentlemen.

    • Pretty sure Brady left due to the lack of weapons in New England. There were some saying he left because of general disagreements with BB and the way he ran the team. But I think he realized that he couldn't be successful with the team of receivers around him - other than Gronk. BB wanted to give short contracts to everyone not named Edelman.
    • NHL teams that have achieved the feat of scoring three or more goals in the final two minutes of a regulation game to win include the Carolina Hurricanes (Jan 29, 2026 vs. Utah), Dallas Stars (Oct 14, 1995 vs. Bruins), and Montreal Maroons (March 15, 1932 vs. Rangers). More recently, the Vancouver Canucks (April 2025) achieved this feat within the final minute.    Key Historical & Recent Examples Carolina Hurricanes (Jan 29, 2026): Rallied from 2 goals down in the final two minutes to beat the Utah Mammoth 5-4. Vancouver Canucks (April 8, 2025): Scored three times in the final minute of regulation to defeat the Dallas Stars 6-5. Edmonton Oilers (Dec 2025): Forced OT with three goals in the third period (including two late) against the Sabres. Dallas Stars (Oct 14, 1995): Scored three goals in the final two minutes to beat the Bruins. Montreal Maroons (March 15, 1932): Scored three goals in the final two minutes to beat the Rangers.
    • Yeah I'm not sure he'd come back even for HC. Also not sure I want him.
