the offense is also the one unit that has been bad every single game

so yeah, it’s Bryce.

it’s why I barely talk about the D because it literally by design supposed to be what is weak on the team right now.  If we spent our last 4 first round picks on the D and went into FA to form the most expensive DL in the NFL…..I might concede they are the problem.

Not  nearly as bad as the defense. They set a record last year for points allowed last year in case you didn't hear.

Tershawn Wharton, 54 million

Tre’Von Moehrig 51 million

Patrick Jones II 20 million

Bobby Brown III 21 million

These were all signed before the season to bolster the defense and the defense gave up 3 rushing TD's and 2 passing TD's yesterday with Drake Maye going 14/18 passing.

And again, ST gave a TD and good field position on punts.

Again, I am not defending Bryce's play yesterday. He didn't play nearly good enough but the teams problems go way beyond just him.

We will win either the Dolphins or Jets game and everyone will be singing his praises again.  This team is good for throwing a crumb of a good game every several weeks and the rose colored glasses get put right back on.

The Morgan, Canales and Young stans are chomping at the bit to get on here after win number 2 and write their lengthy "i told you so" posts.

I think the remaining stans are few and far between. If you are still riding with Bryce, you are either a Bryce Young fan, an Alabama fan, or his momma.

Ain't nobody fooled by this poo. Frankly, he could rattle off a 10 game streak like he did down the stretch last season and I still ain't buying it. All that wishing and hoping is over.

Show it. Repeatedly. Be an NFL QB.

That's the problem with Bryce...he's not a tide that can lift all boats.  He needs a team that is clicking in all three phases to be successful.  This is the Carolina Panthers, how often does that happen?  We need a QB that can overcome some obstacles.  How often are we going to have a Falcons-type game from two weeks ago where everything goes our way? Once, maybe twice a year?  We need a QB that can win in spite of failures not win because it's a near perfect game by the entire team. Let alone how the Falcons simply imploded, not many NFL teams do that often.

Evero is a laughingstock and even if Bryce started cooking at this point Canales' gameplan doesn't really give him or us a chance. Why is the short game so damn bland if that's 80% of the playbook? We get it, his arm is limited, but there has to be some sort of path to victory here. Like what are we even trying to do?

Make Chuba the focal point of the team. Plain and simple.

Surprised Evero hasn't been fired this morning yet...

his unit has technically got us our only win on the season.   It's actually not the easiest sell if your are the Panthers given our O likely is slightly worse than our D.

Again, I am not defending him but putting the blame on him for Sundays loss is just ridiculous. Put it this way, in order for them to have won, Bryce would have thrown 7 TD's.

And that's on the coaches. And management.

It's time to go ahead and blow this whole thing up. Let Morgan go first, get a new GM. Then get a new coaching and scouting staff.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Tomlin will be freed at the end of the year and Tepper will back a truck up to the man's bank account and just avalanche the dollars at him until he signs.

I do think we'll be "patient" and give Canales and Morgan another year. I like some of the things DM has done, and I like Canales to an extent. Would like to see what they do without Evero and Bryce, but also may just be re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Does the good outweigh the bad with DM? and what do you like from Canales so far? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or an Ahole, genuinely asking your opinion.

By the end of the game?  Correct.  How about match the Pats score for score or at least sustain drives that would have kept their offense off the field for one or two of those scoring drives?

There was a 40-40 TIE last night in the NFL.  There are such things as offensive shootouts/bad defensive efforts.

Just because one or two phases are sucking in a game for a team doesn't exonerate the third from having to do their job.

The Panthers had 320 yards to the Pats 307, they had 21 first downs compared to 16 for the Pats and they held the ball for 35 minutes compared to 24 for the Patriots.

The offense did more than their part in keeping the Pats offense off the field.

The offense is supposed to score points.   If all you do is take up clock while the other team scores.....then you are just playing into a bend but don't defensive effort by your opponent.  And you get smashed.  Like we did.
