So what is the solution here?

I was thinking about it, but how do we get better?  I just think it's the Tepper curse.  We've been absolute garbage since Tepper came in and fugged it all up.

So who would be our next coach then?  I'm all on the bring back steve wilks.  But would he want to come back?

meh, it's a bit disingenuous because it counts 3 interim coaches.

Having said that, the last 2 weeks of play calling has completely soured me on even giving Canales another year, I'm now over him, time to clean house this offseason.

Anyone on the roster or front office that isn't named McMillan, Horn, or Brown should be on the chopping block.

It's for Tepper to do the ONE thing a super rich owner can actually do to tilt things in their favor because of their bank roll.

You put a blank check on the table of elite GM's like Howie Roseman and you don't allow them to say no.

Then you step aside and just let them gut and re-build the roster and coaching staff.

I mean we HAVE been the Browns even since the clown Tepper took over, So I guess reality is finally just setting in for most of you......that's sad

So true. Probably why I get snarky at the amazing draft we will be 9-8 or 10-7 guys. 7 coaches in 7 years is bad, but I think this is worse:

We have the current longest streak of 10 loss seasons. We are at 6 years and look well on our way to 7 straight years of 10 losses and TBH, nothing on this team that looks like we’ll change that in the near future.

We are the Browns, Jets or pretty much any team with a decade of futility and utter fan despair. Today was the could we actually be for real game and it got answered big time.

You can't really tilt things in your favor because the salary cap exists. You can't really tilt things in your favor coaching staff wise if you are a fuging idiot, which Tepper is.

Well sure, but that's my point.

Since you can't do it on the field because of the salary cap, front office and coaching staff is the only way a deep pocket owner can really give his team an advantage that other teams don't have.

Which is why Tepper being an idiot is the problem, and why if he pays the money needed to steal a true elite level GM, he'd be forced to remove himself, as I'm quite sure that would be a stipulation for said GM to consider taking the job.

Dan Snyder 2.0.

I have literally been saying this for like 4+ seasons.

Same with the Browns 1999-2017 being us from 2018-current.

The saddest part is that it isn't like I get any satisfaction from being right about this. We just fuging stink and it all sucks. With no obvious improvement, either.

I'm still not sure how true that still is.

Yes, early on he was VERY hands on and it was well known.  But the last 2 years, he hasn't been overt about being hands on, and if anything, it APPEARS like he's finally taken a hands off approach.

Now, sure, maybe he's still meddling, but you ALWAYS knew that Snyder was involved, and right now, Panthers fans are just assuming that Tepper still is, but we honestly have no way of knowing.

We're on the same page brother.  All we lack is a nickname and logo controversy that Washington had.  Someone file a complaint that a black cat is utterly offensive to our superstitious fans.  Let's get a petition started!

    • But that's the point, if the locker room feels that way, then you're going to upset them by still keeping Bryce around and playing him over the Top 10 pick, as opposed to bringing in a vet to start until the rookie is ready. Again, it goes one of 3 ways... 1. Bryce plays well enough to earn an extension 2. Bryce still sucks and we draft his replacement who starts Week 1 with a new QB as his backup 3. Bryce still sucks, we draft his replacement in the 1st, but they start the season backing up a new vet QB who was brought in to be his mentor. With an OUTSIDE chance at a 4th option where Bryce plays well enough to convince the team to let him play out the 5th year option and then make a decision.  Which I can't see it happening, but there is still a non zero chance of that happening I guess. The only way we draft a QB next year and still have Bryce on the roster, is if we're taking someone in the middle rounds hoping to develop them as a long term backup to Bryce.
    • I hear you. But I am not absolving Legette just because he is from my neck of the woods or anything else.  Tge comment was more about the fans uneven application of blame.  I do agree that there is a noticeable disconnect between him and the QB and that he might do better with a more polished and capable delivery man.  Abd don’t feel that they used XL right, or at least how I expected it to look.  And that could be a function of a reticent WB that shies away from that style of attack. I mean it was either him or Canales that pretty much eliminated downfield from the playbook - even while we see guys running free at times. It Could work if they commit to it.  Whoever isn’t committing.
    • Lot of passion there.  Look, if Bryce plays down to the level that we feel the need to draft a QB high, you don’t think the locker room might be ready for anything that helps them win?   There are s lot of angles to this that could come into play depending on what happens this year.
