They only way he is on the team next season is of Tepper still wants him here then. It's just a matter of how. I think Dalton has a better chance to stick around than Young.

Andy is the superior QB all day long every day. Even in his current incarnation.

C ya.....I hope he does request a trade.

Knowing this guy he will come out and throw three 10 yard TD passes off of short fields and everyone will be back in the saddle.

For a very short time and then he is hurt or tired. Past Andy was the QB Young wished he was.

Yeah, Dalton kinda seems like Cam after his shoulder injuries. He can come in and look good for a game or two but just seems physically unable to sustain it.

If I remember we had the typical OL shuffling and WR shuffling with people being hurt, maybe starting after his first game, pretty sure by the second. (Oops that would be his 3rd)
Continuity issues hurt you with a shallow depth chart. It seemed the team was out of sync for two or three weeks. It didn’t do him any favors. It will be the same this time it looks like.

I would have liked to seen him with all the ones for a few weeks and see if he still faded like that. He makes Bryce look like the college player that he is.

I think we will all see that eventually. It's just a matter of when

Sooner rather than later hopefully. There's still time before the trade deadline. We need to see Dalton out there before time runs out.

Dalton isn't capable of playing more than a few games at this point. If they want to make a trade it's got nothing to do with Dalton playing. They need to come to grip with the Young situation and come up with a plan or just keep doing the same crap while hoping for a different outcome. It might matter if we are talking about XL tho.

I agree. I just doubt they're going to make a trade without trotting his old ass out there first. So let's just go ahead and get that over with so there's still time on the clock.

Not me.....I've seen enough

One game doesn't make a successful  career.

That roller-coaster ride only has 1 last turn to make before it's over. After a while the last holdouts will see the light. Having hope in something is not a bad thing.

That reminds me of a quote from Augustus McCrae from Lonesome Dove, about Jake Spoon. Something like “Lori darlin’, you put your hope in Jake Spoon and he is an empty vessel”

Just from memory I don’t think that is exact but that’s the gist.

    • DC is not perfect by any means and it is INFURIATING the inconsistency shown this season so far but if they stay strong down the stretch and either just slip into playoffs or just miss them you got to give him another year to see if they make the next step.  You want to see progress year over year and I believe we are. His play calling has been dictated by what he has at QB which we talked about ad nauseam. When BY makes bone head decision or has his multiple turnover games you start to lose trust in him no matter what the "coach talk" he says in press conferences. I would vote to keep DC for another year with a retooled QB room and see what happens.
    • We have the toughest remaining schedule in the league, so we'll see where we go from here. If he could do that to the #1 pass defense in the league, there's no reason he can't keep doing it.
    • This is what he does, I'm always happy when the Panthers win and will give BY his props for balling today. Unfortunately BY is like a crazy partner who does nothing but gaslight you into thinking that they are good enough for you, in reality they're not. He's a backup NFL QB in my eyes and idk if he could do anything short of a SB win to change my mind at this point.  CONSISTENCY is the name of the game, are you there day in and day out. That answer so far is also NO. #nevermyQB
