Extend that man

Ehhhhh, I need to see more info about Hubbard's contract before I'm okay with giving Rico an extension.

We've drafted 2 RBs in the last two years and gave a sizable contract to Hubbard, it almost doesn't matter what Rico does this year, unless we can get out of that contract without much of a cap hit, not sure we can afford to re-sign Rico given all our defensive needs.

No. Hell no

Yeah unfortunately Dan made his bed with Chuba and the 2 draft picks he burnt on RB’s

I can’t justify paying Rico and it’s unfortunate because he’s our best back and it’s not even close

He can be cut after 2026 and it would save cap space. If he's cut as post 1st, it would save space if he's cut after this season.

Sure, but we can't be paying decent money for 2 RBs in 2026, on top of the recent draft picks, when our defense still has so many needs.

It's not about long term cap questions, it's about the overall quality of our roster next year.

Given the snaps, Hubbard may even be able to do better. Just the way I see it. The run blocking has been damned amazing also.

No chance

Dowdle makes guys miss/breaks tackles. Also can catch

Chuba is much more dependant on OL play. Chuba gets what the OL gives not often does he pick up much more

I edited my post, he can be cut post 1st this off season and it save 1.5m with a 6m dead hit.

Then that's very different, but no matter how the rest of the season goes, that has to be an offseason thing, not an in season extension like Hubbard last year.

Lol man I know you’re high on Chuba and he does other things like pass pro well, but he has never in his entire career been even close to Dowdle’s level as a runner last week and this week.
