Ya'll.....look at Stafford without his feet set. This is why people in here talk about Bryce not having elite abilities mattering when plays break down. He cannot make these kind of throws with his base not being set.

Stafford has never got the credit he deserves as a QB

If you’re using Stafford’s ability as a passer as the bar then majority of QB’s fall short of this mark

As big of a bust as Young has been......it does really pale in comparison to Trevor Lawrence. There is no logical reason for him to be as bad as he has been in his NFL career.

Tools wise sure but Lawrence clearly struggles to read/see/understand the game

I do agree with this. I remember people fighting me tooth and nail in here when he was in Detroit. "Well he doesn't win!!!"

Motherfugers, WATCH HIM PLAY. There is no question he is elite. Always has been.

They both struggle with that but Lawrence is a significantly better athlete and an INSANELY more physically gifted passer. He has very limited reasons to be struggling the way he has.

I will say, when he came into the league I specifically remember an interview that he basically intimated that he would be okay if his life didn't involve football and I have always questioned if he was passionate enough to be elite from that moment onward.

Which is also why we talk about there being a lower ceiling for Bryce

I think Bryce sees the game decently well already given the mess this offence has been for the better part of his career. His big WTF plays are typically him just dropping the damn ball

Which leaves me wondering sometimes what does peak Bryce look like. Guys like Sam you’d watch in NY/Carolina and he’d have so many boneheaded plays that you were left thinking if he could just clean these up you’d have a solid QB. And now we’re finally seeing Sam in a good offence and he’s able to play with timing and within structure and those boneheaded plays are cut down to 2-3 times a game

Bryce doesn’t have a ton of boneheaded plays (minus flat out dropping the ball) so I dunno. I think Bryce can be a solid QB. Put Bryce in Seattle or Tampa and they’re still winning a lot of games

Coaching and overall team matters so much. The only dude that I think could probably do the most with the least in this league would be Lamar

IDK, I don't think Bryce reads fhe field at much more than an average level. If he does, it's hard to see it. He misses reads too often.

It’s year 3. 2nd HC. Seems like Canales is slowly expanding the offense. There’s been a ton of change. Often times zero structure as a whole. The WR and TE rooms have been beyond ugly his entire time here. Thielen was literally the one guy he could count on to be where he needed to be and those two worked so well together because they complimented each others strengths

I think the whole super processor thing was a bit overblown but give Bryce 5-6 years in the league and I think he’ll be an above average processor that throws with well above average anticipation. That combination should make him a solid QB

Like almost any QB it’s on this organization to surround him with the proper players/coaches for him to be successful

How is he expanding the offense?   Just seems like he is running the  all more.  Our passing game looks pretty mid
