I don’t know that it is backwards but is he moving forward? I understand the weather conditions were prohibitive but Inneed to see him back some defenses off and show that he will throw it over their heads, more than once.
If that doesn’t happen we are on a dead end street with this running attack sooner or later.

No, that's basically what I was going to counter with. If you look at all three seasons, any statistical improvements are modest, at best. He has largely been the same player all three years.

Did you see Dalton last game? That will happen to every no mobile QB on this team

Bryce is one of the best QBs at avoiding sacks believe it or not

Bryce is very good at evading pressure, but no way you can say we have OL issues after what they did to GB Sunday.

I believe that might have been a different story if we were forced to pass.  That game and the conditions allowed us to play to their strengths.
OL love run blocking. We had a top 5 running back behind them, a lead, and horrible weather for throwing the ball around.

It just all came together to not put them in a position to face a ton of pressure on the pass protection.

We have o-line issues

Bryce didn’t even attempt a 7 step drop. We didn’t give the packers pass rush a chance to get pressure. Everything was quick reads, breaking in routes.

Your Opinion.

Bryce is a better decsion maker and a more accurate passer.

Your obsession over a QB that can throw it deep is insane.  Throwing the deep ball is not the only requirement of a QB.   Whether you want to admit it. Bryce as won his last 4 games as a starter.

Bryce Young is not an accurate passer.   Thats not an opinion.

I only care about deep ball passer if the Panthers run a scheme and O when it matters.  And it matters in the Canales tree.

Been talking about fit since the day he was drafted.  He didn’t fit Frank.  He doesn’t fit Canales.

    • You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.
    • Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.
    • On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
