Gotcha.   If they do anything past picking up the 5th then it's more of the same old.   Even picking up the 5th for a qb that is avg 175 yards a game is wild.

I think the best option is tell Bryce.  We are not picking up your 5th.   We are cutting Dalton and signing a vet and drafting a qb.   Prove to us next year we are making a mistake but you are on the roster in 26 come hell or high water
