The defense is the biggest difference in why the team is winning games.

yep.  by far.  We win with improved D, and a frankly good run game getting even better.  We are still winning in spite of subpar QB play.

and fans should be able to celebrate wins and our improvement.  Without someone being forced into pretending Bryce Young isn't THE weak spot on the roster.  And fixing that, could lead to an actual good team.

Its odd that most of the Bryce "haters" will give him credit for the good plays but the stans can only see the good plays. They ignore that we need three turnovers and have to keep Bryce under 20 attempts to beat a top team.Thats the formula to win with Bryce. Run the ball, hope you can force turnover, and hope he can hit a throw here and there. That's just life with Bryce at QB.

They needed three turnovers because the defense gave up 246 yds in the first half alone with the RBs' averaged 6.1 yds/att. Any team given up those kinds of numbers will need turnovers.

They didn't work to keep Young under 20. They ran the ball to keep the Rams offense off the field and it was successful. Any team would have the same game plan given how well it worked.

Saying "hope he can hit a throw here and there" is a bit off given he hit 15 of 20 and all of his 4th down attempts.

"Run the ball, hope you can force turnover" is a recipe for success with any team in the NFL - not just Bryce Young.

And finally, saying "Bryce "haters" will give him credit for the good plays" is a bit disingenous when you follow it with with a trashing diatribe don't you think.

I would hardly call yesterdays defensive performance improved. Take away those turnovers and the Rams probably score 49 points. The defense gave up 246 yards in the first half alone. Their running backs averaged over 6 yards a carry over the game. They could not stop them. I do not know how you can claim it was their stellar perfomance that won the game.

Young completes 75% of his passes, converts all 3 of his 4th down attempts and accounted for all 3 offensive TD's and you still claim he was the weak spot yesterday.

Your hate knows no bounds.

It's because the "Stans" are box score merchants.

They see 15/20 for 206 yards and 3 TDs with no INTs and think he just played a near perfect game and should be signed to a $200 million extension because of it.

Never mind that he had 3 passes that accounted for 111 of those yards and all the TDs, one of them a screen pass that went for 35 yards and the other two just touched lofted passes (albeit good ones, but nowhere near darts into tight windows like elite QB's are able to make).

Yes, he gets credit for the good throws, but extrapolating a small handful of good throws/plays a game to say he's played great games/seasons is the asinine part and what is going to end up screwing us over long term when he's kept around because of the blinders these wins are putting on people

3 of Staffords passes accounted for 117 of his yards. So what. Does that make his performance look worse than it was. Or are other qbs just held to a different standard.

We completed two passes over 10 yards all game, both against goalline defensive sets on 4th and short. Bryce made very good throws on both but most of the rest of his completions were right around the LOS.

This is what your passing chart has to look like the beat good teams with Bryce at QB:

You missed my point about "Run the ball and hope you can force turnovers" being our recipe for success. Of course that's a recipe for success for anyone. It's just that with us it's really our only recipe for success.

Take away Bryce's two 4th and short passes and the screen to Chuba and what are you left with on fhe passing game? See how it goes when you selectively eliminate the three best plays?

We caught lightning in a bottle yesterday on both sides of the ball. The D was overall not good but had three great plays forcing turnovers taking one back for a TD. The offensive passing game overall was not good but had three big plays resulting in TDs.
