Playoffs!? You wanna talk about playoffs!?

The Bucs have 4 games out of their last 5 being division rivals and the 5th being against a Miami team that's a in state rival who's been on a hot streak lately winning 4 out of their last 5 games.

As we all know you can throw the record of each team out the window when it comes to division games. I wouldn't be shocked to see Tampa lose to at least one or if not both the Saints and the Falcons.

After seeing us play this year I believe we can beat anybody, but I also feel that we can lose to anybody. I wouldn't be shocked if we lost to Saints then go on to win out and win a home playoff game. Getting swept by the 2 win saints and winning the division would be so on par for how this season has felt.

Panthers go 2-2 in the last 4 games wining once against the Bucs and beating the Saints........

Bucs other than one lost to Carolina will win their other 3 games..................at the end of the regular season Panthers will be on the outside looking in at the playoffs.

That's just wonderful.......just good enough to keep the current situation for another 10 years of "wait until next year" banter.........

It's been many a year since we were in December talking about how games mattered for something other than draft order.

This crazy, mixed up, unpredictable, maddening, uplifting and teeth gnashing season has certainly not been boring.

I still don't think there's any chance we make it deep down, but pre-season all I wanted was to be in the "in the hunt" graphic this time of year.

Successful year, and what many here (myself included) thought was still a very flawed roster, has a chance to have a winning season. It's still a flawed roster, and we dropped games we should've won, won games we should've lost, but for the first time in a long time I'm happy watching Panthers football in December. Whatta world.

Damn.  This feels a lot like the Wilks year all of a sudden.  I know we didn’t have to sweep them, but everything hinging on what we do against Tampa.  Sigh…

We weren’t supposed to be winning the division and were picked last and third by just about everyone. Including the rational people here. We still have a chance at the division in December and will almost certainly finish second at worst. I am not unhappy about it.
I will be unhappy with a 2nd place schedule next year.

Doubtful. Falcons without Penix and London are very bad, and the Saints are very bad. Since the Cardinals didn't pull off the upset, the Dolphins are the only team with a chance of upsetting them.

At the end of the day, we will have to sweep Tampa twice because they will have the better division record otherwise because of our shitting the bed against the Saints

    • Hell, "average at best," in pass pro is a low key bashing. Hell, he still can't get recognition for being average for arguably the most important part of his job.
    • recovery is largely pure luck and how the ball bounces.   Putting the ball on the ground at a high rate is a bad thing.  Maybe QB A fumbles 10 times a year and QB B fumbles 3 times a year.  QB B loses all 3 of his.  QB A somehow has 8 of his recovered in a quirky year.  QB A is still the bigger risk/red flag going forward.  and again, Bryce has a high fumble rate.......and isn't holding the ball looking for big pass plays, willingly putting his body in play, carrying a large load on his shoulders, or big yardage producer.  It's one of his clear negative qualities.  Just a reality.  At this rate, the Bryce squad is going to start arguing him being tiny is actually an advantage lol.
    • Next year we play Lions, Tigers, and Bears (and Ravens) at home... along with NFC WEST and AFC WEST.  Our away games will be vs the Browns, Packers, Vikings, Steelers, and NFC East GOOD NEWS (unless we get a Europe game, which isn't out of the question) is that our away travel schedule is fairly close to home. None of our away games are past the Central timezone. I'd be surprised if we were scheduled to *host* a home match in Germany until 2028 based on rotation. Based on today's standings, we would play the Chargers and Seahawks at home, and Cowboys away.
