He pressured the city to give him $650 million for stadium upgrades that he could have easily paid for himself. When he gives more to the community that he extorts from it then I'll say he's great for the community. As of today, the community is hundreds of millions in the negative when it comes to Tepper and he can rightfully fug off.

Some say people are leaving the huddle because of the dialogue. I say this is the content that keeps me coming back 👏

So you are saying you would have preferred that Charlotte said no thanks and sent him and the Panthers packing? How much better off would the community be without the Panthers being a part of the city. Once they were gone, would you then just abolish the hospitality tax that is being used to pay for the updates even though it is also used for other things like the Charlotte Convention Center, Spectrum Center (Hornets arena), as well as tourism promotions, etc. I also believe it was used to help fund the Nascar Hall Of Fame here as well.

I have to admit I do not like seeeing public funds used to fund sports either but if you want a major sports team here, it's going to cost regardless whether its the Panthers or some other team.

It’s just PR for philanthropy they should be doing anyway. It’s immoral and unethical to hold onto that much wealth. He’ll move the team whenever it suits him and do token philanthropy in the next city they’re based out of.

Maybe. But Tepper donated 67 million to Carnegie Mellon when he was in Pittsburg and has given somewhere around 23 million here I believe. I am sure some of it is PR, but knowing where he came from, I believe part of it is just him wanting to give back.

It's funny. I avoid reddit and X because of how toxic the users are - and yet I keep coming back here.

    • No poo tho you might could Jenkins for Legette. They got nothing at WR after the big 2 in Cincy. I don’t think you trade away OL depth. Could get a quality player in cuts. Really that 3-4 end spot what you should be looking for is someone who is stout with long arms and can push back the OL in both the run and pass game for others to make plays…. But we signed Wharton, sometimes I think Evero is a fraud ass nerd who should be an analyst at best.
    • you would honestly probably do Monroe Freeling more of a disservice by putting him in a position where is not yet ready to succeed. .we all knew Monroe Freeling struggled at the NFL combine in drills because of technique related issues & would need time to develop  & now all of a sudden before they even put the pads on Monroe Freeling is somehow a starting LT in the NFL ? if he struggled at the NFL scouting combine what do you actually think is going to happen in a live NFL game at LT ? .even our best LT of all time was not ready to start at LT when he was a rookie & he turned out to be a pretty good darn LT by the name of Jordan Gross ...just saying be patient Young Jedis
    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
