Mike Kaye does great work

He's the best reporter bar none. He's great for super fans like myself, cause he will talk about all 53 players, all coaches, and PS too. Plus he will call out if something sinks, tepper hasn't bought him it seems....

Who exactly are you referring to with ‘praise threads’ or ‘the exact same poster’

if you are referring to me, you are very mistaken.

i give criticism and praise when I think warranted and my opinion, just like yours, doesn’t matter

in this case, a lot of young players are starting,  doing their jobs and doing them well  and that has seldom been the case with this franchise, neither has winning been the case over the past 8 years, so if posters are happy about that, and praise players, let them be

No, not you. If you look at my post time, there was another thread on the rookie class between your post and mine. Same praise as two weeks prior and they’ve posted almost word for word matches to other articles on Panthers related sites with no credit. Posting the same content after every win is annoying and posting about the same topic (rookie class) just clutters. You had interesting content, other thread added nothing and got more posts.

I apologize and thank you

I try and be fair and I try and share parts of things from local and national writers that I know many do not see or have Acess too

I readily admit that I wish the Panthers had drafted Stroud as he is prototypical nfl in size and style and Young’s  size and style of play is maddening and limiting.  That does not mean, however,  I want him to fail  he is here so I hope for the best as I do for alil  the players and fans who spend their hard earned money on the franchise

cheers

Umm, no. 2017 was way better. CMC, Moton, Samuel and Butker. Heck, 2021 with Horn, Tremble, Hubbard and Christensen was probably better. 2025 seems solid because 2018-2024 were poo with maybe one good player each year.

These praise threads are kind of funny. We have a solid win and they show up, literally the exact same poster and content. Not after the bad losses like NO.

In case no one’s remembering, we have had rookie impact/starters since Rhule came to town. It’s more a factor of losing all our strong vets from CMC to Cam to Moore to Olsen to Luke to TD to Short, even Reddick and Luvu and many more.

Dressing a lot of rookies has been happening for years because we had really bad starters and bad depth for a while now.

It’s nice to seen some plays from Scourton but let’s not act like TMac isn’t our only impact rookie. Right now, if we look at players who are at least average NFL players and TMac is it. We had 5 rookies who started games last year and the undrafted one is the only one I could see developing into an average WR2.

Scourton may get there but right now the 2025 draft isn’t some panacea, it’s a good draft for depth. If we really want to compete we need to get 2-3 impact starters every year.

The difference being we've won 8 games this season - so it's not rookies contributing on a bad team, it's rookies contributing on a winning team.

Outside of Tet, we’ve gotten minimal contributions over average drafts. We’ve got a potential OROY in Tet, but would it surprise you that the 2024 rookie WRs/TEs have more yards (1327 and 7 TDs) than the 2025 class (1169 and 9 TDs) for far less draft capital? I love Tet and he’s been huge but let’s not act like the rookie class outside of pick 8 has been driving the win total. Scourton has done decent but the impact of CSW and Wallace is similar to Ransom and Scourton but again we used far more draft capital this year.

It’s nice to see more depth but the key measure to me is getting 2-3 average or better NFL starters, and right now that’s just Tet. If Scourton gets there, the draft is better in my eyes but the only other draftee that might have a chance is Ransom but he may a wee bit overrated in here because he caught a ball Mayfield threw right to him. Made the play but is he still replacement level?
