I think the sweet spot is an older rookie with a lot of college exp, like a Shough, around round 2 or 3. I dont know if that player exists or if that would be BPA

The people here that lack faith in Young see the video as vindication of their doubts. I, as someone who believes Young is much better than most give him credit for, see him commenting on Young's "spatial awareness and understanding of the game" as vindication for supporting him. I would much rather have someone with that "understanding and awareness", than someone who is 6'5" with a cannon for an arm but can never catch up to the speed of the game.

Bryce with his game based on anticipation is the sort of player in theory that should get better every year. The more looks he sees the more time on task with his weapons and you can see it.

I agree 100%. When your strength is anticipation throws, than you are counting on your receiver being where you expect them to be. That "timing" takes time and the more time Young has with TMac, Cooker and Evans, (and maybe Leggett), the better they will get.

This is a rather luke warm endorsement. He's calm and smart even if hes not an athlete or very productive.

You are dictating a ‘settle’. Like you can only have one, you can’t have both. Fine if you  can only have one, it isn’t the worst choice. But it is settling by nature because there are people with both. 

It is simple, we have limited ourselves by choosing a player who has narrower margins for error than guys with the traditional QB physical attributes that people came to so highly value. And some people are happy about that. 
Truth has always been that we made it harder on ourselves than it had to be. As Parcels said, he needs to walk on water. That is expecting a lot. And we now have to feed that beast..

Pretty sure it is a given Young lacks typical QB size and strength and he is here simply because his other attributes more than make up for it. My point is not to indicate anyone "settled" for him but rather to remind people that there have been plenty of big, strong QB's that have not lived up to expectations. Jamis Winston, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, JaMarcus Russel are a few examples. They all have the physical attributes coveted by teams and yet none have had sustained success in the NFL. And yes, there are QBs that do have both but there aren't many and some of the ones still playing were failures with their early teams. Saying Young is a bust simply based upon his size (and I do think it is as simple as that for a few guys around here) is unfair to both him and the team.

He has 3 300 yard passing games in 44 career starts.

I think everyone thinks this. That's why it is hard for some people to critique him. He looks like a middle schooler.
