Bryce’s pick was bad. Where in this thread did I say it wasn’t?

3 years? I was completely over this guy after game 1 in 2023 in Atlanta. Post benching he’s looked better and has shown things I wanted to see. Not much more to it. You allow your emotions to take over much like a few others to the point that it’s impossible to talk anything team related because everything is blamed 100% on Bryce

Horn messed up in that Jets game where he flattened out his route for no reason which almost resulted in a INT then in that Saints game he didn’t think he was supposed to get that hand off resulting in a costly fumble

I think he’s not too far behind XL with the in between the ears issues but had it not been for those two hiccups he probably be seeing the field more by now

Agree on Coker btw. That’ll hurt some feelings around here but he’s pretty damn reliable/dependable which is something Bryce’s game is dependant on being an anticipation type thrower

That Jets game was like 9 weeks ago, Horn has improved, kinda small, I really like him, Coker is a baller. T-Mac is still a rook and I think will be a really good one. I’m concerned with the QB like most of us.  I think the receiver corps is solid, XL withstanding. We gotta get the ball downfield, wtf are paying a qb for   if he can’t use the fugging receivers. This poo is fugging crazy, you can have the best receivers in the league but your qb can’t get the ball to them! Is this that complicated?

What happened here? Tet has nearly 3 yards on the DB.  For reference, the ball is at the top of the field at the refs right leg just passing the 40.  So the DB had time to close 3 yards in the balls final 9 yards of flight.  What does that mean? That ball did not have much zip on it.

Let me go ahead and post the pocket shot before the "he didn't have enough time" excuse pops up.

It was a like a 12-13 yard pass to the boundary and the DB had plenty of time to track it.

Really good breakdown.

he gets baited a lot on these throws. I think it’s why they are so hesitant to have him try to hit these and he is hesitant to throw it. The zip just isn’t there to make these hole shot throws consistently.

A thread on X.

Look forward to seeing some of you break these down

General observations:

1. Too much pressure without having to send extra guys. Generally a bad situation to counter.

2. More success running out toward the perimeter. And yet, we kept going back inside where we struggled.

3. Panthers receivers beating man coverage remains a problem.

4. I feel Bryce has been baited into that type of throw before.

5. Seemed there wasn't as much misdirection.

I'm not looking forward to watching the ALL 22, but I could tell Bryce was given control to audible out of runs in 1Q, that control of the offense was taken away in 2Q to regain field position, and when Canales made him throw the ball in 3Q with the play calling, Bryce had no idea what was going on with the Seahawks defense.

Bryce was spooked. He was seeing ghosts worse than Sam Darnold ever has. His hesitation, lack of urgency, and lob balls were the most consistent part of his game on Sunday.

Did Bryce play bad? Yes.

Did the whole offense play bad? Yes.

Was Canales bad with his playcalling? Yes.

Now with that being said I don't put this loss solely on Bryce Young. The seahawks are a much more talented team than us and to win in a scenario like that you need some luck which we didn't have that day.

Bryce has shown this year that you can win with him at QB but the problem is that he doesn't have the ability to elevate the rest of the team around him. Bryce was a number 1 overall pick who we traded a haul of assets to get going into the end of his 3rd year the expectations need to be much higher than 54 yards passing.

It's been nice to get some wins this year and have a chance to make the playoffs and Bryce has played a part in that but at some point the front office needs to see that you can't keep giving Bryce a pass for these low production games.
