It's 1a and 1b with ability to see in the pocket and arm strength. Bryce is a smart guy and would probably be very very good without those limitations but unfortunately his too biggest struggles are things that cannot be fixed.

Arm strength isn’t the issue he has shown ability to make the tight window throws, but not seeing the field is likely the main culprit

What? Every throw further than 5 yards down field is lofted. He has good ball placement down field but he can only throw deep into certain coverages because of a huge lack of arm strength. He cannot zip the ball down field because he does not have the needed arm strength for NFL football

I do think his below average arm strength is an issue because his footwork is still fuged up too often. He isn't one of these guys that can arm throw his way out of trouble.

He doesn't have a true noodle arm but it is in the bottom quarter of the NFL.

I do agree that his confidence and field reading ability are much larger issues.

Check down and scramble. Couldn't be any more clear that dude can't see

Through listening to Canales i think this is what he wants. I've heard him say he wants 1/2 reads then check down or scramble. Plus that OT conversion to Tremble earlier he said something along the lines that he doesn't want him to get that far along his progressions. IMO hes basing his offense to much around analytics when Bryce does best when hes aloud to create and get out of the pocket

Bryce doesn't seem like he can really read the field well. He's a short dude and so I think that is playing a roll. I think Canales also has adjusted his offense to try to fit a QB that has limited physical attributes... But Bryce isn't great in the pocket.  I think that's why canales runs simpler concepts too

I think that is because Bryce had a bad habit(not uncommon for younger QB's) of holding onto the ball and extending the play until he got into trouble. Sometimes the play just isn't there.

I think the issue is that it seems Bryce may have swung too far to the other end of the scale. Not even Bridgewater checked down this much.
