Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

It amuses me seeing folks post stills of Bryce's offensive line as if the Panthers didn't go out and invest steep resources in the unit to the detriment of the rest of the roster after his rookie season following endless whailing about protecting him. These are also the same folks who will deflect to throwing anyone under the bus when Bryce fails.

Highest salary cap % investment to the OL.

FYI the Rams are 11th and the Chargers are 16th in this list.

I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.

I've already addressed this notion in a previous reply. You are basing your assertion outside reality if you think Bryce would have not only been more successful but defeated the Patriots in place of Herbert. Bryce got blown off the field by that Patriots team with the highest paid OL in the league. We've seen Bryce with an OL that gave up 65 sacks and it resulted in the #1 pick. And that is not a defense of Herbert or arguing he is a great QB in any way. He has physical talent but he has been similar to Darnold early in his career in terms of his very up and down perfomances. However that does not change the fact that they have significantly less invested in the OL than the Panthers.

agree to disagree you are entitled to that opinion even though I find the argument completely bizarre based on data. I could type out a long paragraph discussing those areas but what’s the point. I posted a screenshot that showed Bryce in a similar post snap situation with a free rusher in his face which resulted in a TD - that’s what happened on the play so I posted it.

Bryce couldn’t beat the patriots when they didn’t even have a defensive coordinator. Terrell Williams had to step away from the team for cancer treatment that week.

bryce on a worse team without an offense built around his limitations isn’t winning anything

like he can’t run a passing offense based on play action under center, he’s certainly not going to succeed with monken at OC. also Herbie is expected to actually make reads and progressions while Bryce just does what the voice in his ear tells him.

We have an entire page dedicated to bryce chat but it’s not reasonable to restrict it since replacing him the easiest and most obvious move the team can make if they’re serious about improving next season and seeing if Canales can actually coach.

my other forum also has a bryce thread, but without the delusional defenders it’s just people rightly shitting on him and trying to figure out why the national media gives him the leash they do unlike say Caleb.

also it has its own bryce smiley

You go on multiple boards just to poo on the quarterback of your own football team. One who almost just had us our first playoff win in a decade. That is actually hilarious to think about.

It brings my heart overwhelming joy to know you’re stuck watching him for at least the next two years ❤️

The Chargers gave up 66 sacks this season. That's the most in the NFL. The Panthers gave up half that. I certainly remember the constant hand wringing and excuses from folks like him when Bryce was getting sacked into oblivion.

Anywho. The Patriots are possibly a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Bryce Young threw the ball 30 times for 150 yards against them for 5 yards per attempt. His stat line basically mirrors that of Herbert against them in the playoffs. Which team got blown out worse though with more at stake? And for clarity. Bryce was only sacked once in that game. Herbert was sacked 6 times.

Bryce on the Chargers would be brutal. Don't expect that unpaid sycophant to offer a rational rebuttal.

Oh so now sacks are an offensive line stat and not a quarterback stat 😂 if dalton was playing behind this line he would’ve been sacked 66 times. Bryce knows how to evade the rush and get rid of the ball.

Bradley Bozeman is the Chargers center.

Tell me how Bryce Young looked with Bradley Bozeman in front of him his rookie year?

As far as Bryce "evading" the rush I've lost count how many times I've seen him bail on the pocket to his right and throw a wounded duck to the ground. You are trying to make him out to be some kind of magician outside the pocket and he just is not that guy at the NFL level.

Anyways we are clearly never going to see eye to eye and you've been caping for this guy on multiple accounts since we drafted him so feel free to quote someone else and carry on with your shtick.
