Yeah DJ went for 682 this season and disappeared at times in a much more prolific offense but here comes electro to explain that away

DJ was a good player for us but he is a different style WR.  He is more of a YAC guy.  Almost a RB playing WR.  TMac is a different breed.  He's 100% WR.  He runs good routes and has a great catch radius.  He shows up on 3rd down and in the red zone.

As I said in another thread recently, my official victory lap and bow will come once that OROY is announced in about a month.

But yes, I absolutely spoke T-Mac to our Panthers into existence, I'll never be convinced otherwise hahaha, the campaign started with a thread in Nov 2023, a full 18 months before he was even draft eligible.

This is actually something I feel hasn't been talked about near enough this year, not just his 3rd downs, but his ability to get 1st downs.

He finished 7th in the league in receptions for 1st downs (6th among WRs) with 55 1st downs on 70 catches.  Add in his 7 TDs and he scored or got a 1st down on 62 of his 70 catches this year, that's an insane percentage for any player, let alone a rookie.

The only other rookie in the Top 42 1st down receptions was Warren who came in at #29, and he had 13 less 1st downs despite actually having 6 more catches this year than T-Mac did.

I’d say that he was going to copy moose and come back to Carolina but no WR in their right mind would come to Carolina willingly while Bryce is here if they have another serious offer.
