So no news is bad news it seems.  After rewatching the play he got hurt on his knee buckled and Dave said it was a significant injury.  That sucks on so many levels.  So just prepare for him to miss 2026 I guess

Bryce alluded to Ickey playing banged up all year in his presser and a couple weeks back he hurt the knee and had an MRI. Those results were never publicized but gotta think there was some damage there that he played through but it also could have contributed to this more significant injury. I admire that he tried to gut it out and managed to play through it for the team. Can’t imagine that wear and tear when you’re that size.

I wouldn't say it's a foregone conclusion that he misses next season.  He may still be rehabbing for the first half of the season or so though.

I think Icky has been hurting for a while. Players know you have to play through it because in all sports it is a next man up mentality and that next man can take your spot.

They’re going to need to re-sign Nijman. He had performed well when called upon and he could probably fill in while Icky rehabs next year. They are going to need to draft some mid/late round offensive linemen anyway with Moton getting up there in years and offensive linemen depth always a critical piece of any successful team.

We are drafting an OT for certain now.  I was wanting one for the eventual departure of Moton, but now it's not even about depth for the future. It's a need.  Sucks for the big man. I hope he has a successful and speedy recovery.

Again, the gratuitous playoff birth keeps on giving.  You had better believe I'm going to be extremely interested in picks 14-18.

Agreed, honestly basically bringing this group back as a healthy unit would be alright.  Brady Christensen should be resigned to a very reasonable deal with him recovering from the Achilles.  Atleast we're alright at 4 of our 5 spots with Lewis, Mays, Hunt, and Moton, Nijman was decent.  While if we can snag a deal on someone, take a stab, however our resources need to go to Linebacker, Pass Rush and a real option outside Tmac (coker is amazing, but if we can get someone who isnt braindead opposite Tmac, we can fully unleash Coker AND Tmacs full potential, cant move him into the slot if racoon boy is out there licking doorknobs).

We have the opportunity to draft Moton’s replacement and depending on who it is, possibly can sub him for Icky and slide him over the next year to replace Moton.
